People bitched about 10$ for MSL but at least it was lagfree... Now 5 times more for lags... No thanks... So we will all wait for re-streamers Stream worked fine most of the time, it only chocked with the finals/most popular games.

TL is like a torrent site as they only post the links to the content someone else provide (in this case embedded streams). Stopping TL will only have negative results for blizzard/gretech so there is nothing to worry about that. They'll have to go after the sites streaming that is livestream/ustream or whatever streams those people who watches OGN have are using. @maJes You are right but since Blizzard is a company (striving for profits) and giving a free stream to the world is an investment. An investment with some risks which they can equally just not take and let others take the risks for them (in this case gretech with their stream). @Faranth Like someone else said at end of Page 3 (GTR I think). This move by gretech is probably because they see a market for people who feel a necessity for english commentated games. So they're putting a price tag on it for some extra profit (for whatever the reasons are). I don't see why people are making a fuss. Economically I can understand their move and as a gamer I dislike it but people will still be able to watch it for free by hopefully generous people with access to OGN in korea so there shouldn't be any fuss in my opinion. It would be like if KeSpa said we will be having english commentated games but there'll be a fee on it. Will you complain about their demand for fee for the english commentated games even though you can just watch it on a korean stream for free ?

I've watched enough online sporting event streams to know that they can be shut down and ya I didn't really mean they go after TL like sue them or something, but rather simply ask them to not link the restreams... kind of like how it was with IEM (and MLG I believe). Of course I can imagine them shutting down the restreamers directly as well.

Sure a free stream would have been nice but guess they dont have much international sponsors. 1 hour salary = 29,95 $ for a VOD ticket? 40 hours a week, 4 weeks in a month = 160 hours/month. 160 hours * 30$ = 4800$ Where do you work, cause I sure as hell don't make 4800$ in a month. 30$ was basically 2 weeks allowance when I was in college... On September 01 2010 18:56 Frankon wrote: So we will all wait for re-streamers I expect them to crack down hard on restreaming. I at least expect them to contact the usual streaming websites with a cease-and-desist order. In advance, if that is legally possible... EDIT: Week =/= month, typo

There are so many streaming sites they possibly can't watch all of them. There will always be atleast 1 or more on a streaming site streaming the content simply because gretech won't be able to monitor that stream (they'll have to watch every streaming website on the world and contact them to shut it down which is un-doable and costfull for them). It'll work if the streams were only shown on a few known streaming sites.

So you'll turn to TL and look what streams are posted here. And so will Gretech.

So decent price if you ask me. that if you can watch it... even the vod of opening ceremony trailer started working after like 40th refresh. (each refresh after like 1 or 2 minutes )
