Thanks for this, I was just looking for it.
|
Apparently also Idra is playing on Sat as well, as one of the first couple of games.
|
Thanks, this is going to be fun to watch.. Liquid FIGHTING!!
|
Cella WeRRa playing twice??
|
TLO and Artosis on the same side of the same bracket. Oh well, can't expect all the foreigners to be able to get through.
|
That bracket is stacked as well...
|
Bracket C, TLO vs. CheckPrime?
|
Thanks for saving me the headache of trying to navigate the site...

Who is tester in bracket C then ?
Edit: Nvm :D

lol NesTea....awsome name

Idra's match will be the first broadcasted. Will the english commentary be live streamed or only vod?

This is why foreigners will never be at the same level. We have not mastered the art of bilocation

Is Junwi prime the Junwi from BW ? Also, anyone knows when Idra, Artosis and TLO will play ? Will the whole Ro64 be played the same day ?
|
Idra playing on sat (4th), rest will be the day after on the 5th. Or from the 5th onwards... Idra definately on the 4th tho.

I don't wanna get everybody in a bad mood, but I doubt TLO will beat hyperdub - yesterday I've seen a couple of replays with hyperdub-ownage ( http://www.sc2rep.com/ ); considering that TvT is TLO's weakest matchup it will get very tough to say the least

I don't believe he feels it is his weakest matchup anymore.
Instead he rather dislikes TvP at the moment which doesn't help with Tester.

Anyone know if there will be stream and when ?

Idra vs some random(?) T.
Artosis Vs P
TLO vs Z.
I dont know, maybe best possible match ups (well ofc Idra vs T aint, but atleast hey are some kind of no-names, atleast for me.) there is. I can see Artosis and TLO advancing and Idra ofc, depending how well this Terran plays. Seems like Artosis is going to play Tester if he advances, heh..
Cella should be able to advance aswell. I hope.

edit: well ok, there is some Korean Terran Maru on sc2ranks, but just around 800-900 points, I suppose he doesn't ladder that much if it's the same guy.
|
IdrA has a decent bracket I feel. He dodges a lot of the really dangerous players early. He should feel confident of making it out of BracketA and into the top4
There he'll face a tough matchup against probably oGsInca, oGsTop or Cool in the semis before the final against Ensare or Tester or TLO(we can hope!) xD
|
If they both come so far would TLO knock Artosis out of the tourney or the other way around? Would be kinda sad.
|

It will be Artosis vs TLO _IF_ Artosis wins the next round and then Tester. But i seriously doubt it. (and ofc TLO wins all of his matches)
And i think TLO would take those, but who knows.
|
Who is this Trevor - TorcH guy?
|
hard bracket for TLO :/
hyperdub -> tester -> check
|
27 16 21
Not a great distribution... Go Zergs! IdrA and Cella!!
I've been randoming all of SC2 so far. I hereby vow to main whichever race wins the GSL.
|
this brackets are awesome. Good luck for the foreign guys.
|
Bracket C is the Bracket of death.
|
TLO...Hyperdub - Ro32, Tester - Ro16, and Check or IntoTheRainbow in Ro8 :X
Tough one..
idrA with the MoneyGroup...only see some minor difficulties with Maka in ro8
|
Just saw Cella playing IdrA's opponent on his stream, seemd good enough. But I think IdrA can get far in this tournament with that group.
Tough one for TLO.
|
CellaWeRRa played a few minutes ago against idras enemy. The T was very aggressive but cella did not have any problems. Shouldnt be too hard for idra..
/e lol too late
|
That's a seriously nice line up. Really looking forward to... I guess most of these games. Zerg isn't looking that bad yet. oGs also looking strong in Group D!
I'm gonna call some Bracket finals the way I want to see them
A: Idra vs Maka. Ouch B: Cool vs oGsInCa C: Tester/TLO vs Check. TLO fighting! But it's going to be a tough round... D: Ensnare vs ... a Zerg either way. I'm hoping for Gerrard. Who here can say they were 6pooled by Idra
If it turns out like that I would be one happy Zerg player.
EDIT: How did I miss CellaWerra in B? ZvZ final would be great
|
Good luck to WeRRa players!!!!!! 화이팅~~

Jinro, Nazgul and Grrr didn't qualify, real shame, but there will be atleast 2 more Gomtv Tournaments this year, so they will have more chances
|
TLO's road to the final is probably the hardest but it's not going to matter these guys are all doomed.
|
many seem to overlook that there is already an ace-match in round one - JangMinChul (rank 7) vs polt (rank 6); especially since I think that JangMinChul is the 3rd best protoss-player in this whole tournament (1st tester, 2nd nexgenius); if JangMinChul wins this, he will play vs fruitseller soon...this could be a very cool match
I think nexgenius will win bracket D, finals vs ensnare

KawaiiRice smoked Cella 6 - 1 yesterday,
It seems like Cella has a very mediocre late game (imo), but has very strong timing pushes. In any sort of game that lasts longer than 12 minutes, I'd give Idra the definite edge over Cella. Not even close.

허준과침 is actually better than what u guys may think. in stream of cella, 허준과침 was just playing around with the nuke. just trying new strat. i do not think idra will be able to win from what i saw in IEM finals.

Tester is currently considered one of the best protoss players on the planet. He's going to give a VERY hard time to TLO and Artosis. Not to mention in the end of that if they survive, they'll have to face Check.
This is goin to be very hard. Torch might have it easier if he's in the same shape as these guys. idrA seems to have the easiest route among these guys. I hope some foreigner goes there!
|
Seeing the finalized bracket is both disappointing and exciting. On the one hand, it's going to be the largest SC2 tournament to date, but it's missing so many awesome players like Huk, Kiwikaki, Sen, Morrow etc. Hopefully these guys will be able to participate in future GSLs.
From what I've seen, the skill disparity between the top players in Korea, US, and EU isn't so large like some people would like to think.
Regardless, it's probably going to be an awesome tournament.
|
So how this tournament work? 1 player comes out from each bracket and into a ro4?

허준과침제니스, idras first opponent is actually very good terran player. this list is from gisado.

Calling it now, Artosis surprises everyone by 2-0ing Tester, TLO and Check then everyone pretends that they expected it all along!

Which one is this 13 year old genius who apparently beat out a bunch of other top notch guys?
I think I'm most interested in seeing that kid play. Also, what kind of info do you have on streams/ vods? Since i'm going to assume that most of the games will be played around 5 or 6 am where I live.

TLO vs tester! :O Could be epic
|
Can anybody extract the seeding from this?
1. Idra 2. CezannePrime 3. Tester 4. SquirrelPrime ??? That's a complete stab based on the brackets. It would be nice to see the top 8 seeds...

Three foreigners in a bracket. Ouch.

Maru is 13. GOM has announced that there will be either a stream with commentary by Artosis and Tasteless (or is it VOD?).
Would be exciting to see a Wind vs TorcH final for group B. Almost as epic as Stork vs Baby or Fantasy vs Reality.
Edit 13yo player corrected.

I watched IdrA's oppenent's play and he is baller. You might saw his replay from Gisado's KOTH replay pack. If you saw insane ghost usage against any race, that's him.

GL /w that TLO, you'll need it. Any possibility of some interviews asking what people think of brackets, in case a certain someone with a korean camera is reading?

maru, cellawerra's first opponent is 13 year old kid born on 1997. lol good luck cella

And hopely you know this, but KawaiiRice is using a start that is fucking insane against Zerg.
TheStC used the same strat against Cella and its just so hard to deal with. Even if Kawaii won, it doesn't mean Kawaii is anyway near at the skill Cella is. (I'm not saying that it is so, but only because he owned Cella 6-1 with a single strat atleast in 4-5 games doesn't prove anything.)
But you are kinda right with the late game. But after people saw him cutting alot of drones against that Kawaii's strat, it doesn't mean he is anyway bad in late game. He knows to make those drones and macro up. But yeah, Idra has a massiv edge over Cella in macrogame. As long as Idra survies the first aggressions, shouldn't be hard to win the game.

IdrA has a pretty nice bracket until really like the quarterfinals, when I'm guessing he'll face Maka, or possibly Junwi. Focus is really good. But . . . they're all on the "other side" of group A from IdrA.
None of the players in the GSL are really "pushovers", though.

Hell yeah, what better way to open this thing up then with idra. Go harry potter! I can't wait to watch this, I hope I can figure out a way to watch this without having to use their stupid player though.
Also, is blizzard waiting for this tournament to end before it gives us patch 1.1? I would assume so.

What about the games that are not streamed? Will there be VoDs, replays, anything?^^

What you guys fail to realize, is TLO's been practicing extremely hard in Korea while Tester has quit oGs and been practicing less, not to mention the fact that TLO has already taken a game off of tester in King of the Beta. TLO, Tester AND Artosis all in the same bracket? Administration error!

Did they disclose the basis for the seeding anywhere?

Hoping to see some awesome games, bracket quality seems pretty decent though I think C will be totally insane.
|
All of these groups are pretty tough - none of them are "easy". Also, IdrA has beaten Tester so I think TLO/Artosis can beat Tester (although is going to be very, very tough). I'll probably be rooting for Tester though. <3 Protoss.
None of the players are "invincible", I do think that Bracket C is the most exciting though. Nice to follow the US/EU players :D
|
I have to say, at first I disliked Idra because of his behaviour. Now, after watching more of his games, I became a fan! This is in my opinion a great opening and I can't wait for saturday.
|
|
Maka will probably take group A
sucks that 2 foreigners are in group C though
|
I'm going for a full tournament thing:
Group A: IdrA vs. Maka --> Maka wins Group B: Cool vs. InCa --> Cool wins Group C: Tester vs. Rainbow --> Rainbow Group D: Anypro vs Zenio --> Anypro
If things match up like group A vs group B:
Maka vs Cool --> Cool Rainbow vs. Anypro --> Rainbow Cool vs. Rainbow --> Cool
Probably Rainbow will actually lose earlier on, since he "quit" at the start of retail, and only started practicing again when he heard about the GSL. I did watch a few games where Rainbow DECIMATED Cool and a couple other oGs zerg recently.
Ensnare isn't great TvP, at least that was my impression last time I saw him play TvP.
|
TLO and Artosis don't have much of a chance with Tester and Check
Idra might top his bracket
I seen some of CellaWerra's place and he's no slouch, he might be able to do well
|

IMO, it's either Rainbow or Check for that side of group C. And then, given the closeness of their KotB match, it's a toss-up between Rainbow or Tester (though Tester has been practicing more than Rainbow since then).

Does anyone know how many players make it out of each group? I feel like it has to be more than just the very top player.

Group C is definitely the hardest group. Poor Artosis/TLO. It's not like any of the groups are anything like easy, though. TorcH and IdrA have relatively easy "sides", but there really isn't an "easy" side. JiTaeHunZenith did very well in the Gisado KotH, as someone pointed out.

For those asking about Streams, please read this post from JunkkaGom:
Hello, me again. I'm sorry that I haven't been very active, but we are really busy down here at GomTV. We have just finnished making brackets for RO64. I know many of you are very curious about it, but all I can say is that it will be confidential for now. As for the opening match, I mentioned before that there will be 16 players playing. It seems I was misinformed. There will be 4 selected players from RO64, which means there will be 2 matches(3 games per match, the best two wins). Well I guess another big question everyone has is "How the hell do we watch the games?!" We will upload them on http://www.gomtv.net. It is NOT in Korean and you do NOT need to pay. "What about commentaries?! Do we have to watch it listening to Korean jibberish?" Not to worry. Dan(Artosis) and Nick(Tasteless) are going to provide English commentaries. If by any chance some of you already live in Korea or are planning to come to Korea this week. The opening match will be held at KBS 88 Stadium at 7pm KST on 4th of September. It's free and all the players that participated in the preliminaries will be given VIP seats and presents. For further information do not hesitate to email me : junkka@gretech.com

If TLO is in form (and I think he will be), I think he will demolish most of these Zergs. TvZ is already relatively easy and TLO's TvZ is top-notch. Of course, he could also choke, but hopefully that won't happen.
IdrA, I don't know. People know that fast aggression and cheese is the key to beating him and Korean Terrans are all about fast aggression and cheese. If IdrA plays well he can take it, but I won't discount him getting eliminated by a Terran or a Zerg early on. I don't foresee him having trouble with most of the Protoss he faces though. He beat Inca pretty easily and there's only a few Korean Protoss players above Inca.
Artosis, similar story to IdrA but his form is likely going to be worse due to him having to cast and play and do his video thingies. I don't see Artosis making it out of Group C due to TLO being there. But if TLO is eliminated and he can beat Tester, he has a chance.
Don't know enough about Torch to comment.

Hmm, thanks for the answer. I did some searching myself and I came up with this...totally randomly lol, I don't know how to read Korean.

IdrA is the only foreigner I am pretty sure will do well. Mostly because he is so damn consistent, and he always performs well in tournaments.
Its hard to make any good guesses when it comes to the brackets though. There are so many names I dont really know anything about, and many of them are probably damn good.
|
how many players will advance from each group? only the winner of the bracket?

More posts from Junkka:
I donn't know whether we plan to provide the streams live, but Nick and Dan will be casting on the spot using an English SC2 client to observe the games.
I am getting tons of requests asking about the live stream. Seriously guys, I have been working overtime including weekends and my birthday. You folks keep this up and I might as well as live at the office! lol, just kidding. Call me crazy but I actually find all this enthusiasm quite exciting.
Now to the point! Englsih live stream WILL be provided but I am still not sure whether HD live stream will also be available. I can only promise that I will do my best to keep you guys updated with the latest news.
They're still working on it. So, I'm hoping even if we cannot see the opening matches LIVE, the ones after will be.

Are these RO64 first games to be added to korean sc2 TLPD?

so i didnt follow all posts super close but whats up with the 2 CellaWeRRa?

damn...Jinro and Nazgul didn't make it to the ro64? that's unfortunate =\ Well good luck TLO! TLAF-Liquid Fighting!
and I'm glad that both Idra and Artosis made it to ro64 ^^

When setting my clock to Korean time, is UTC +9 Seoul the correct time ?
|
Haha, I like how TLO is listed as just "Dario". And soon, he'll be like Teller, getting a name change to only that.
|
|
Here:
Group A: August vs Maka Group B: Cool vsCella Group C: Tester vs Check Group D: Ensnare vs Genius --> Genius ftw!
|
IdrA's the only foreigner who stands a good chance. TLO could maybe make it with a lot of luck. It's at least a possibility. Still, TLO's said that his worst matchup is TvP and he'll almost certainly have to play the best Protoss in the world if he advances.

I'm disappointed that so few recognizable Koreans are in the tournament, but I was unrealistic in my hopes for Kespa betrayal (it may yet come). I know the large prizes were the draw, but now seeing the field, I think they're way too large. I hope they don't go bankrupt later when they're potentially paying nobodies tens of thousands of dollars.
Good luck to Idra and TLO. I can't wait to see if the newness of the game, and the (more or less) level playing field will matter in the Korea vs World matchup.
Also, typhoon Kompasu is going to make landfall over the Seoul area on Thursday. I hope it doesn't disrupt the tournament too much. I also hope the Europeans who are out there don't piss their pants during their first 100 mph wind gust.

So is it just a straight Bo3 single elimination going all the way from Ro64 to Semifinals? Or is there some sort of losers bracket point system going on?
I mean a single elimination bracket is definitely the simplest/easiest to follow, but probably the least fair system for accurate ranking of player skill beyond first/second place.

This is gonna be awesome! And great coverage from TL like always.

Is Check really even that good? I was less than impressed by his performance in the beta - did he really improve that much since then?

WOW look at the protoss stack in group C lol
anyway i can't choose who to root for between artosis/tlo and tester in that group
edit: actually group B is even more P-stacked lol

Anybody know if there will also be a payed livestream? I would be happy to pay a little bit extra for better quality : )

Wow bracket C looks pretty brutal; I feel bad for TLO and Artosis. Idra should be able to advance out of group A as long as he doesn't lose to something stupid.

A lot of people seem to be putting cella down a bit due to his game with KawaiiRice. (games*)
He did go 1-6 vs. him, but it's not like kawaiirice is a bad player. he's very good and could of qualified as well.
Cella however is very modest. He does not like to speak highly of himself and he rarely seems to be going all out in his games. Vs. KawaiiRice he had been up for 20(?) hours with only 2 hours of sleep and had been streaming all day for the users of TL. He was obviously exhausted and sounded exhausted on his stream, he really didn't want to play but he did it because he felt it would make his fans happy.
He also beat LzGamer 3-1. And to quote LzGamer on the stream, Sc2 is too new to determine who's better than who by a single set of matches. It takes a long time to decide that.
Yes Cella lost to KawaiiRice 1-6, but today he beat TheStC 3-1, beat NEXGenius 2-0 and was practicing with idrA's opponent a lot, which I don't think he gave a game. He also played a lot vs Protoss (the top korean ladder) and he _schooled_ Protoss every game. The only player who gave Cella trouble was MioWeRRa, and it was definitely not one sided.
btw: MioWeRRa is a monster. He's just as good as StC and TLO. Watch out for him.
Even in the games he lost today he was very confident and seemed in control.
Cella has the potential to be a very very good player. And he's incredibly kind, well mannered and funny and thinks very highly of the English speaking starcraft community. He's a great guy.
Hope he goes far!
I really don't like how some of the brackets seem a little stacked, though.

Hey guys, I had my day off yesterday
Ok I know that many of you are anxious to know whether live streams or VOD will be provided by GOMTV. I still have not recieved an approval to post an offical article relating to it, but I have just talked with technical team and HD live streams and VOD will be available at www.gomtv.net They are going to update the page this afternoon and I'll be having a meeting with them and hopefully I'll be able to give you guys more info.
Although I can't be certain about anything for the moment, we at GOMTV do not wish GSL to be just a Korean event, and we DO care of fans oversea .
In the meantime, you may contact me if you any questions related to GSL.

I really don't like how some of the brackets seem a little stacked, though. Agree with what you are saying. Honestly, I think that there could be a lot of upsets from random unknown players. This is the first really huge Korean tournament, whereas all the replays we've seen up till this point have only been from showmatches or small tournies. I think we could see some really creative and insane play that player's have been keeping up their sleeves up to this point.

Actually what probably effected him more was him being called out as a pariah by the Korean community for supposedly exchanging replays (of him against other notables, I assume) for donations from us foreigners. He was all depressed throughout that series and kept checking back to that fomos page and talking on irc or something.

Does anyone notice how prevalent Protoss is in recent tournaments?
Zerg is clearly underrepresented, but there always seem to be more Toss than Terran.

GOMTV is the company account and JunkkaGom is my personal account. You can consider both as me, since all the issue relating to TL will eventually be relayed to me. I just had my lunch, and am waiting for the meeting in which we will discuss about live streams. I am pretty new in the company and I don't know how much they will pay attention to my opinions, but I will do my best to represent those of you in TL.

idra got an easy bracket, but TLO has a hard one :/

You will not have to dig around Korean sites. THIS I promise.

If GOMTV is really interested in putting their weight behind competitive SC2, it would be stupid for them not to have an English live stream equal in quality to their Korean one.
SC2 is already huge in the West, and people here want to see SC2 played at the highest levels regardless of region.
I hope GOMTV provides the West with a quality product that showcases their desire to expand SC2 outside of Korean borders.

sean? i think you mean nick although it would be all kinds of awesome if sean flew over to cast with his brother. the plott archon!

Sorry to be a hater but I hope he loses just based on this picture alone. You are not an actual war general, sir. No chance he gets out of the first round, but I will make a friendly wager if anyone is interested. Also lol @ him playing TLO or even being in the same league. Wouldn't he just snap-"gg" (and whine more like a pussy) if he had to face a Terran?
IdrA and TLO ftw imo.

(Please don't take it as an offence, I'm just being honest)
I hope that if there is going to be an English commentator please don't use the same guys of Warcraft 3, or Broodwar.... I really hope I'm not the only one who thinks that so GOMTV changes the commentators. Or at least hire some better ones for the other tournaments.

There was already a big announcement about Tasteless and Artosis casting GSL from Ro64 on, so I've no idea why you are complaining ...

For those asking -- Just browsing the gomtv site and it looks like to watch it live you MUST pay for the ticket (unless someone re-streams), but it looks like it will be posted as a vod.

Sorry if I didn't made myself clear, really.
I know there will be a stream with Artosis & Tasteless.
But Artosis is playing and neither he nor Tasteless are "hired" by GOMTV to be casters (or at least there isn't any official information about hiring them or any other casters) so If GOMTV plans to be casting games during the next 5 years I really hope they get some better ones that the ones they have HIRED for commentating BW / War 3 tournaments.
Jesus I'm not complaining about this year GSL, is just a suggestion (that they may have already taken into account). I'm just using the facts that I KNOW, and I know that the casters they have for BW/War3 tournaments aren't the best, or enjoyable as many other casters out there.
I'm not offending anybody and I don't read every single post but I do know that Artosis & Tasteless are going to cast THIS GSL... but what are the plans for the future ? because I already know the Tournament plan of GOMTV for this year and 2011.(Korean video with English subs)
So I'm just being curious and giving out my opinion.
And the only official information I have is this: [GSL] About GSL Streams and VODs
|
on a twitter, it said tasteless and artosis are the commentators of gsl.
|
lol good luck Idra TLO and Artosis
haha NesTea!

And what about the next tournament, the world cup, the next seasons, and the next [Enter GOMTV tournament name here)...
In the post I mentioned that the only official information about it doesn't say anything about that and I usually trust more the official information than Twitter.

Bracket C seems like it might be the toughest to advance from although I don not claim to kno the Korean Players and thier skill level. I think its safe to say that Torch is not getting out that group tho lol. WHo knows tho, Ill keep rooting for the cellphone champ of America.

Tastesless has been casting GOM since Season 1 of the TG Sambo-Intel Classic. Him and artosis will be casting this for a long time. And yes, they are paid by Gom to do this. It will be the official GomTV English stream. Artosis is playing, but obviously he wont cast that game (wouldn't be the first time tasteless casted alone, and they can always get a temp person to cast with him, they've also done that before)
I don't see gomtv changing casters anytime soon. The Tastosis casting archon will be there for a while

Yay thanks for the answer.
Well, then we should complain about no free streams now ? lol
|
Tasteless is very good at casting solo, even if it's mid game when suzie had to go do an interview. He seemlessly transitions between casting solo and with a color commentator. Tasteless has always been (in my opinion) THE most entertaining caster in the SC community. He's professional, charismatic, educated, and articulate. HOLD THAT THOUGHT!
|
It starts saturnday, yay! And with Idra, pretty good game I'm expeting, a must see. I'm happy for Artosis and TLO, best of luck for them.
|
I'm always quick to hate on Idra when he is in the tournaments over here, but when he is representing the foreigner scene in tournaments like this one with mostly Korean players everyone has got to have some Idra-love.
Super excited for the TLO games~!

Just one more day to go, so excited for this.

Is this game schedule wrong? http://www.gomtv.net/2010gslopens1/schedule/

Considering GOMTV is selling VODs. Its probably not allowed and they have mentioned going after youtube / etc accounts which upload them.
|
It's my understanding there is going to be free streaming @ http://www.gomtv.net/, is this correct? I know you can pay for HD streaming, but I can't find a straight answer on free streaming (since GOMtv keeps flip-flopping on the issue).

Damn who else likes Idras map pool vs his terran 1st round?
Idra Thumbed Lost Temple, Kulas Ravine Opponent thumbed blistering sands, Metalopolis
Map 1: Xel'Naga Caverns Map 2: Desert Oasis Map 3: Scrap Station
Im a bit concerned for Idra on Xel naga, but that map always makes me nervous when i random zerg on it..
Scrap station is zergs best map, period.
Ive never seen Idra play on DO, but I think it fits his style PERFECT. as long as he doesnt get raped too hard by reaper/tank drop on the cliff next to main minerals, then he should easily be able to contain the terran with his mutas, and really abuse the fact that DO is a BAD map for mech play.
IdrA wins 2-0, or 2-1 if Xel naga goes bad and idra has to adjust.
|
why so many WeRRas and Primes clans?

Wow I wanted to see a better bracket I wanted to atleast see the Foreigners in different brackets so they have a chance of dominating the bracket butt they will have to play each other much earlier than i expected

I'm trying to watch a video now but it isn't working here. Videos won't load. In the comment there is someone saying that I need to run the Gomplayer wizard first, but my ad-aware says it's a worm (Win32.Worm.Viking lol).

It does say all over the site that you need it installed. GOM Player doesn't have anything in it to be weary of. Download it using the link on the page I posted.
OR here: http://download.cnet.com/GOM-Media-Player/3000-13632_4-10551786.html
That's as legit as it gets.

The HQ stream seems to be unbelievably choppy. SQ stream works fine, K-pop girls atm.

The VODs are up at http://www.gomtv.net/2010gslopens1/vod/1013 , they're free, and they're higher quality than the free stream that was running inconsistently last night.

You can only watch game 1 of each match for free. The other games are not free. The first games were not as good as the later games, so the season ticket was worth it.

First it asks me to log in. I create account and then when I try to log in it says they can't find my e-mail adress.
Bad GOMTV. Bad.

Actually it maybe the login bug I encountered and reported in the forums. Make sure you don't enter any uppercases when entering your email, EVEN if you registered it with uppercasing. It will only recognize your login with only lowercases.

It's funny tho. I can only watch the first round in Idra vs Tae Hoon Ji. As soon as I click on the second set I have to pay. Is this just how they will be running the show or is it just me?

Blizzard should really intervene here, if they want to make e-sports grow then they can't have the biggest tournament only be accessible for 20$++ a month. Not to mention this is 20$ for a single tournament, if it was for a site that collected all tournaments high quality streams then fine, I would consider paying for that. But 20$ for a single tournament which judging by the comments offers very bad bandwidth streaming, that is a joke.
|
I had no problems with the stream, I got cut off once and it took like 15 secs to reload, but other than that is was fine. Perfectly understandable given the scope of interest in the tournament.
|
Will all Results be updated here?

Day 2 ran so much better, the HQ stream worked great for me. Looking at the schedule I wish there were games on the weekend of 12th and 13th, I think a two day break is far too much.

My biggest complaint is that for $20, the "High Quality" stream/VOD's are hardly less awful than the Standard Quality. I was prepared to pay the money, but then I checked the "sample" HQ vids and changed my mind immediately. I would not pay even $5 for that supposed "HQ".

So where can we see the full stats of all players? Or brackets? Or a list of players that advanced? Just something in a neat, organized form/list.
It's kind of hard to figure out what's going on, unless you followed GSL on regular bases.

I'm only watching the VODs and am gladly paying 20$ for it. So many hours of great entertainment already. It's like 15 Euro so basically a couple of beers on a weekend. I mostly see my payment as a payment to support esports growth. The more money they make and the more paying customers they have the easier it is to attract more sponsors etc.
I'll gladly pay the 20$ each month
