I guess It's a sign that Starcraft 2 is going to be just as mainstream if not more so than Starcraft 2.

If Maka does get knocked out by Focus, then Junwi probably will take the spot. IdrA is going to be in trouble, ZvZ, against Junwi.Group A, people aren't giving enough credit to Junwi (former SC1 progamer) who is also insanely good. Maru has been training with SK Telecom to be a ruthless, Starcraft-playing machine since birth. Who knows how he'll do versus The Terrorist, Cella.

He did go 1-6 vs. him, but it's not like kawaiirice is a bad player. he's very good and could of qualified as well. Cella however is very modest. He does not like to speak highly of himself and he rarely seems to be going all out in his games. Vs. KawaiiRice he had been up for 20(?) hours with only 2 hours of sleep and had been streaming all day for the users of TL. He was obviously exhausted and sounded exhausted on his stream, he really didn't want to play but he did it because he felt it would make his fans happy. He also beat LzGamer 3-1. And to quote LzGamer on the stream, Sc2 is too new to determine who's better than who by a single set of matches. It takes a long time to decide that. Yes Cella lost to KawaiiRice 1-6, but today he beat TheStC 3-1, beat NEXGenius 2-0 and was practicing with idrA's opponent a lot, which I don't think he gave a game. He also played a lot vs Protoss (the top korean ladder) and he _schooled_ Protoss every game. The only player who gave Cella trouble was MioWeRRa, and it was definitely not one sided. btw: MioWeRRa is a monster. He's just as good as StC and TLO. Watch out for him. Even in the games he lost today he was very confident and seemed in control. Cella has the potential to be a very very good player. And he's incredibly kind, well mannered and funny and thinks very highly of the English speaking starcraft community. He's a great guy. Hope he goes far! I really don't like how some of the brackets seem a little stacked, though.

Ok I know that many of you are anxious to know whether live streams or VOD will be provided by GOMTV. I still have not recieved an approval to post an offical article relating to it, but I have just talked with technical team and HD live streams and VOD will be available at www.gomtv.net They are going to update the page this afternoon and I'll be having a meeting with them and hopefully I'll be able to give you guys more info. Although I can't be certain about anything for the moment, we at GOMTV do not wish GSL to be just a Korean event, and we DO care of fans oversea . In the meantime, you may contact me if you any questions related to GSL. junkka@gretech.com

Don't forget that in one of Artosis' twitters lately it seems like there's a 1.5 second delay(at least for Artosis) when playing on the US servers from KR.

This is the first really huge Korean tournament, whereas all the replays we've seen up till this point have only been from showmatches or small tournies. I think we could see some really creative and insane play that player's have been keeping up their sleeves up to this point.

Actually what probably effected him more was him being called out as a pariah by the Korean community for supposedly exchanging replays (of him against other notables, I assume) for donations from us foreigners. He was all depressed throughout that series and kept checking back to that fomos page and talking on irc or something.

Zerg is clearly underrepresented, but there always seem to be more Toss than Terran.
