But we have nowhere to stay! So what we're asking is: a) Where would be the cheapest and nearest place for us to rest our weary heads and/or b) would anyone have a floor (and a roof!) for 3 strange men to rest their weary heads. Pm/post answering either would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I hope by now a nice fellow has offered you a place to rest your heads but if they have not there are many places close to Cydus internet cafe which you can stay at. Since Cydus is in Melbourne's CBD just google hotels/motels in the city of Melbourne. On September 08 2010 20:57 adRo. wrote: Anyone know how long this tournament will run until? So I guess my main question is, is the Amateur tournament starting at around 11AM also? What time will it be ending, about the same time as Pro? I would've thought it would end earlier, less sign-ups etc.

People here are saying that hopefully diamond (and plat) have to go in pro tourney? I'm gonna get roflstomped by someone that has an idea of how to play. Can you guys let me know what league you're thinking of joining, and what rank (score, not posi in ladder) you are? I'd feel pretty lame joining an amateur tournament designed for bronze - gold when I'm sitting mid diamond. edit: or maybe Aseenus could give some insight as to what he's hoping for the two tourneys (ideally speaking) also, while I think the prizes are really cool - I think the experience will be even more awesome. I would rather have some good games with people around similar skill level than win the prize.

Nope, all computers will be logged onto an admin account, you only have to pay a one time entry fee. Join the amateur tournament, I highly doubt you will do badly.

People need to man up, consider it a learning experience. Diamond players entering the amateur tourney stops any real amateurs desire to enter the competition.

No-one says you have to leave as soon as you're knocked out.

If you keep at it you will improve considerably faster than the others tbh ![]() Hopefully there'll be a decent opportunity to have lunch with a bunch of you/just hang out while waiting for games and talk about SC. Hopefully iaguz/skeptical/schiz can make it, ive played some great games with you all, especially iaguz back in the RA3 days ;d

Let's make it double elim since it doesnt sound like pro comp will have many entries and it promotes people to join the pro division over amateur, hence earning xin gaming more money anyway, good idea Ftrunkz, you are truly a god among mere mortals!
