I also just found out something. MCC has Starcraft 2 on ALL their computers. As in, they have an sc2 account on ALL computers. I was told that the owner of MCC actually bought a sc2 copy for EVERY computer there. I think that's his way of getting sc2 out to the general public.
For those on SEA server, next time you play some1 with something like "MiDCty XXXX" then your playing some1 from MCC. Very high chance of it being a diamond player just playing on a Bronze account. lol Yeah actually played two of those guys today, MCiTYI and MCiTYXI in 4v4. We smashed them barely losing a unit and then explained in less than polite terms how this game doesn't have just 1 unit you can't play it like DotA (cos it's a DotA netcafe right?). deL, always furthering esports and SC2.
lolol, that's not very nice, you might've put them off sc2 completely -_______________-" But yes, MCC is quite populated by Dota/WOW players. They do hold a couple of CS tournaments though.

When will the replays, if they were saved, be posted for the final pro games?

They will be posted on Sunday after the Amateur comp is over, sorry for the wait but we wanted to put it all up at once

Just out of interest did anyone else have a password reset thing on their email this morning? they didn't get my account but It's weird that it happened.
Cydus is the only untrustworthy place i've used my login.

i got kicked off my sc2 account while laddering at home after being at cydus because someone else apparantly logged into it... needless to say i immediately changed the pw to the account faster than zeus. Could be coincident and coulda just been a friend loggin into it guessing my pw or something tho

Another Cydus dick move: keylogging and making sc2 accounts public???

Well it wasn't me lol. It happened to me as well, though. And I didn't even log in at Cydus. Maybe battle.net has just been wigging out again.

Relax fellas, I highly doubt that Cydus has key loggers, the internet cafe it self is great and the staff are usually really nice, I love the blue lights and trance that plays once it goes dark hehe, yes they have done a few things wrong but they are only human. Yes the owners thoughts were wrong hence why we won't be holding events there any longer however he is a very nice guy, his just not very experienced so he made a few bad calls.
I would still suggest heading down to Cydus if you are to be in the area.

Today I also had a random message overnight from one of the midcity people asking if i wanted to do some 3's or 4's I've never actually been to Midcity and I dont know anyone that would have been, am I just paranoid here or should I be formatting c:\

Why the hell does Australia have all these four digit prize tourneys. We don't have crap in Toronto.

Probably paranoid. I really doubt Cydus would jeopardize their entire reputation and business. :p

Man, I'm glad I didn't go to this thing . It sounds like it was a nightmare for all parties involved.
And I have to say, I strongly disagree with Cydus' decisions. Whether or not the technical problems were their fault, not being willing to refund the amateur players (at least initially) is such a huge no-no =/.

It wasn't that he wasn't refunding players, he was saying that they should not get a refund and come back the next day after waiting so many hours there, I however thought of it from the players point of view and said that "I will not ask players to come back tomorrow after wasting all their time and would rather move the amateur comp online".

For the record it was definitely the netcafe that got my account keylogged.
It was used for wow gold sharing on a 10 day lich king trial and banned. I don't really care about the wow account being banned but it's a bit of a worry that their computers are compromised by chinas.

Cydus is one of my regular hangout joints and i was willing to boycott the place on account of those comments

I actually had planned to come in from the Colac regional area to play amateur and have just had a chance to catch up with the goings-on.
Shame that the event wasn't as smooth as it was planned, and I'm fortunate some plans came up to avoid all of it haha!
I'm wondering what the possibilities/logistics are of having a hall hired for the purpose of these SC2 tournaments. Lack of internet connection/good internet connection I guess is the limiting factor.
We can only hope Blizzard starts handing a lovely LAN client around!!
