All sides should profit if the tournament became more global. Be honest, US doesn't deserve nearly that many spots in the invitelist.

![]() aka UnknownArt, WC3 Undead pro, Top Zerg on the EU servers with a 72.34% winrate over more than 140 games. Totally unknown could make for an absolute surprise. ![]() Best oGs Terran. He 5-0'd Prime in the oGs vs. Prime Star2Gether Clan Invitational with the best micro ive seen in Starcraft 2 so far (and i watch A LOT of VODs), a heavily harass based style that is a lot of fun to watch. Crazy reaper micro that has to be seen to be believed. I think you should go for more innovative and micro oriented players as they are more fun to watch than players that just mass till 200 and then a move. Regards, I'm definitely looking forward to this tournament.

But yeah for this tourney to take a reasonable amount of time they are going to have to mass cast. I think a tourney this size should last about 2 weeks. But I'm confident HD/Husky can find a way to make it work. I can't wait to see what the prize pool will be. I'm gonna guess > $5000 easily if they can get more than 1 sponsor.

For example what has InControl achieved in the beta so far? Compare with Satiini for example who won a zotac.( just an example) Going by that logic you might as well just invite Koreans as they are better than everyone. It's not all about giving the same people money every time it's about putting on a good show with a range of players to please every audience. We went through this in the first tourney...

He plays officially on the battle.net ladder; is still one of the best SC2 players in the world, and by now he doesn't really have significant internal advantage, from being a Blizzard employee.actually that would be super awesome if he played. I've only seen the vods of him from the alpha version of sc2 (youtube battlereports). Would love to see how his gameplay evolved. It would make the tourney super epic if such mysterious figures get invited like David Kim, Upmagic, Madfrog(aka UnknownArt, currently #1 Phase 2 EU zerg), who have been almost impossible to see play competitively during the Beta. The other crazy idea - HD and Husky to play, is also not too far fetched. When one plays, only the other would cast; or if the cast is from replays they still could cast together. It's not like organizing the tournament would give you any advantage, and many people would find this to be fun.

And people saying the invitational is about pleasing the crowd and a bunch of unskilled randoms is not good for the tournament or whatever. Assuming they had to get through 60 players to be invited then Obviously they wouldnt suck terribly. And obviously any crowd loves an "underdog" story so if any of the unknown sattelited players got past the first 2 rounds or whatever I think that would be good for the tournament/the spectators. Apart from that I am suprised kiwikaki is not invited.
