Tarson (I always loved this guy's play since bw. Great player! I then saw his game on sc2, and he's still a fantastic player)

ThisisJimmy (solid terran player who proved himself through ladders + tournaments)

Kiwikaki (I never played this guy, but I hear he's really good. Not sure why he's not up there yet)

Moman (very mannered good player)

Hashe (from fastest community, but the best from fastest. I'm sure he'll make an impact in sc2. plus he's got the whole fastest community rooting for him :D)

EDIT: thank you all suggest me in the HDH2, I hope I get a chance to play in this definitely :D

I have sent both HD and Husky PMs about sponsoring some of your events on behalf of Electronic Sports United, however, neither of you responded. If you are interested, please PM me!

So if this is to go by Global Ladder Ranking, Goody seems to be a must as #1. And if it's about who played much and did well, team oGs. must be in it for sure

Goody and Madfrog definately should have place in it, solely on ladder performance. 60 spots wouldn't allow best global rankings in - would make no sense. I'm no expert on asian scene, but it'd definately be nice to have at least 10 asians in it.

Also I don't think regions matter much at all. HDH is big enough tournament for any pro to buy another product. If they had to that is, most have sponsor to do that.

So because they don't all know english and don't waste their time on silly tournaments with no prize pools or streaming themselves for attention they should be punished because they don't serve us? It's the same situation as the last HDH, do Husky and HDStarcraft want good players or popular community players? That's up for them to decide. I'd prefer the option that results in better games.

Not only that, but given some of the players invited I'm expecting some of the early games to be complete blowouts and walkovers. Naturally these type of games make for a very bad viewing experience. Thus, inviting the best players all around makes for simply better games in the whole tournament for everyone, regardless of how well known the players are.

These people have clearly proven themselves up to date, more so than most people on the current HDH#2 invite list. I think choosing the top percentile from the global ladder would be the best statistically non-biased method of choosing the best players which would in turn provide the best matches(better players=better matches). Its clearly shows that those players have proven themselves on a regular basis and not just by doing well in one event or from just being "known" from BW ETC, ETC, ETC.

well, that's simple, ladder is for many a place to try stuff out or something to do when bored and no one else is on! , for example I played A LOOOOOOOT more games with my teammates in training sessions at nights than I did in ladder because in my opinion I get better quality practice from qxc cauthonluck sheth kiwikaki slush drewbie suggy etc than I do playing someone who may or may not be good in ladder. so I've been practicing really hard ! how would your idea be fair to me, or for example qxc?

I am sure like blizzard has done in the past they'll host Ladder finals and reward top ladder players, then be assured everyone will play a lot more and try their best on ladder. But until then, i'll continue to play with my team, because I feel that it's the best way for me to improve.

Its fair to you guys since you can choose to play ladder just like EVERYONE else. Your reasons for not choosing to play ladder as frequently...well thats your perogative. But what your saying doesn't actually apply to anything i said. if ladder isn't that hard for you then i guess you should have no problem making top 64 then right? So i'm still not exactly sure what your saying isn't fair.....
Anyway
The Sky is blue ;P

haha XD im saying your idea of choosing people by just merely looking at who's the top 64 ranked players wouldn't be fair to many people. Yes of course it'd be fair in the sense that everyone decides wether they want to play ladder or not. I am not saying ladder is easy by any means, but on average I feel/know i improove more by playing with my team. so yeah, if they announced before the ladder season started that X or Y tournament would invite people based on ladder standings, it'd be fair to everyone. But at this point in time, if they just took your idea and made the top 60 play it'd be unfair to many who have chosen to prepare for tournaments and leagues by other means. XD hope that makes sense.

No one said it would be fair to you. Not everyone deserves to get in based on reputation, or how much they practice with their team.

I think the way they are doing this is fine. Let the community decide some spots.

I agree with you i think you misread my post, I too think the way they're doing this works fine.

I definitely agree that goody should be allowed in and i've seen/heard good things from Madfrog as well.

Globally top 60 would allow the statistically top 60 best players to get in.....how does that not make sense? Everyone has a shot at becoming one as long as you have the drive to put the effort/work into doing so.

I agree that more asians should be in it. Looking back from the bw days asians have always been considered the strongest at starcraft so i will like to see more foreigners compete with them. QXC vs IntoTheRainbow was BAAAAALLLLLLLLLEEERRR!

if a top XX from global rankings wasn't used i would love to see an X amount of each race and a few random users so we could in a broad general sense how each of the 3 races performed.

Yeah i definitely don't think regions would matter much as most people have friend's on other servers and could just borrow someone else's account. If worst came to worst, purchase additional software.

Hey HD, the code for the image for the 'dice' icon for Random players is this-- I noticed you left Random players blank (also some players that may not be sure about the race)

No one said it would be fair to you. Not everyone deserves to get in based on reputation, or how much they practice with their team.

I think the way they are doing this is fine. Let the community decide some spots.

I agree with you i think you misread my post, I too think the way they're doing this works fine.

Now that you specify what you mean, I can understand what your saying. If we were to do it globally now, it would be definitely be unfair because no one was given notice as to whether or not they should have been grinding on ladder. I think in the future it would definitely be good to choose global top 64 or top whatever for big time tournies.

I'll jump on the MadFrog band wagon too. I really did enjoy his games in War3, and I'm surprised I didn't hear of him playing SC2 until now. Just to add more, I'd also like to see Tarson and Moman play
My favorites: Terran - Maru // Protoss - SoS // Zerg - soO ~~~ fighting!
