You serious? Tester is way above Idra. Thats why these games ALWAYS end like this.
idra plays horribly vs koreans because he has a mental block about koreans being some type of god at strategy games. you can tell when you watch him play that hes not even playing nearly as good as he does vs anyone else.
tester, just played weird/bad in game one and idra gave up for no reason then in game two it was basically a repeat of altitude. also corruptors wouldn't have helped idra if you watched altitude his corruptor micro needs a lot of work.
i really don't think tester stands a chance in hell vs tlo cuz tlo doesn't care what country you're from or who you are and thats how you should play starcraft.
Let's put it this way: I doubt Sen would've made the same mistake that IdrA did. I smell something fishy, but for the sake of not insulting the players, and because I do respect IdrA, I won't go further than this.

From what I've seen in Asian ZvP matches, it's all about Muta/Ling, so I think that a top Asian player would probably not have made any Hydras at all. I think this also explains Tester's odd Phoenix opening, as he probably expects most Zergs to go for a Spire and Mutas.

If you believe in formulas like player1 > player2 by default, then we have not much to talk about. Problem is IdrA looked like he believed the same as you, while he actually had the army to end it up before the colossi.
an overlord flying over the main would of given him all the info he needed.. was just a matter of making corruptors. Its very difficult to push the natural because forcefield would just cut the army in half. Idra was playing it right it was just terrible choice of army

I've been dying to see Korean ZvP matches but they are scarce.... Do you have any links to any VODs of Cool or any other zerg's ZvP? I've seen a ton of ZvTs and I've adjust my own style to match their aggressiveness. I'm just looking for ZvPs now. I'm curious to see how they use mutas against phoenixes...
The worst part I think is that he actually maxed out on hydras. I don't know what IdrA was planning to do with those hydras since he obviously wasn't attacking with them. So he was effectively just waiting to lose. That's the part I don't understand. Did he really think he could defend against multiple colossi with just hydras? Did he not scout Tester at all? That's not the IdrA I saw defeating Nony in the HDH.

Well I saw a bunch of phase two matches that were linked to in this thread: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=136865 The site's in Korean and the video's require GOM player so it may take some effort to navigate. But if you search hard enough you will see some good matches. Specifically the earlier WTA qualifiers had a wide variety of players.
No wonder why Zerg has the least players on ladder. Force field should be taken out. It is ridiculous for a unit to be able to alter the terrain like that. Force field was not in BW and I can't see why it is a necessity in SC2. Zerg did not have many new units in SC2 and look at Protoss. They have both FFs and Colossi.

Well you saw that when the attack came, Idra had taken the Gold expansion and was teching up to Hive. In addition, I'm pretty sure I remember Day saying that Idra was getting Melee upgrades. So I think his plan was to wait for Ultras and more economy to counter the Colossus. Ultras actually do really well against Colossus because of their insane damage against armored and force field destroying ability. I think Idra was banking on Tester not pushing out for a few more minutes, or his forces being able to hold off Tester's push long enough for the Ultras to finish the game.

The games were very impressive. The first one was won by old-school cheese, a hero zealot, and some nice forcefields. The second was won by nice force fields and clutch collossus. Tester was very excellent.
