A 1 day tournament is fine if its a small couple hundred dollar tournament. But a tournament with 700$+ should be longer then a day. It makes games more exciting just this was kinda badly run unfortunately but if it was ran like the HDH 1 (as much as that sickens me to say ) or the King of the beta tournament and stick to your deadlines it goes much smoother. Its more exciting when there are huge matches every few days rather then a huge tournament with this much money all in 1 day :S. But wish this was ran a little better but whatever shit happens nothing to be done about it now.

I am highly anticipating this. JMS is awol as far as I know. And ultimately the tournament is for the viewers so we do have a right to express our feelings about it. ^^And lol at Idras jab at Capoch.

Any chance of existing VODs being linked up in the OP with spoiler tags and all that good stuff? Clicking on one link that leads to all the vods in one big lump on youtube isn't very exciting. Or spoiler proof for that matter As I understand it a new thread with those kind if things will be made for the main competition. There are only a few games left of the qualifying round so hopefully it won't be too long now.

I thought maybe it had been played all the way to the finals already and diving headfirst into that youtube page would spoil the whole thing. Looking forward to some good matches now

Please god let this tournament start moving. On September 14 2010 17:25 AlgeriaT wrote: Cool, that's good to know. That info should be righ up top in the OP tbh. I'm just going to post publicly because I'm pretty pissed off. Due to how I'm mad that FOR THE WIN! **EDIT #2** To be fair, I think Saechiis has the best of intentions, the organizers just put no thought into the logistics of working out such a tournament, and due to the fact that they have no reputation, weren't nearly as forceful to players about scheduling and playing matches. If you don't have enough presence to make players listen to you, it means you're not respected enough... which lends itself to a really poorly run event. I don't understand why you're making such a big fuss. You are in no way responsible for this tournament, why are you continuously trying to start a flamewar when the progress of the tournament is none of your concern? I know you are a respected TO, but if you have problems concerning the tournament you can talk to me about it on MSN or send me an e-mail for that matter. Constantly making public statements about how you don't like how the tournament is being run isn't helping anyone. It just gives random people an excuse for complaining about things they don't know anything about. And this: "I'm mad that The only cure for inexperience is just doing it, and that's what I'm doing. I'm not running this tournament for your approval, I'm running it for the community to see some sweet SC2. We have never pretended to be organisational pro's and our sponsors were aware of this when they decided to contribute. I think blaming me for "ruining things for the rest of us people who try hard (and have done good work for years) to do things for the community" is overly dramatic. It's not my fault you can't find sponsorship.

You apparently didn't read my post. This tournament was so bad that iFixit literally isn't interested in sponsoring more SC2 in the near future (sucks for me). I'm not blaming you per se, I think you have good intentions (like I said) but just messed it up.

So, the GG invitational admins managed to bring in a new sponsor during beta, and because the tournament went poorly, that new sponsor that they brought in doesn't want to sponsor another SC2 tournament right now. You poor thing. By all means, berate the admins of this tournament.
