How can you take over a month to upload a simple Bo16 tournament and then NOT upload the deciding matches of the top 4 placements? Come on guys, get with it.

Technical difficulties happen. If you think it's so easy to run a tourney, do it yourself. They don't owe you anything, so lose the self-entitled attitude.

Seriously guys just chill already! I thought it was pretty obvious that this topic is going to have bunch of spoilers on it. It should be common sense to not look at it if you haven't seen the matches yet, because even if majority of users use spoiler tags there is a good chance that some wont. I think those of you who looked here before you had seen the games pretty much spoiled it for yourself on your own.
The first post has all the info you need in tight spoiler free package, should have used that instead of browsing the other posts.

Overall though, great tourney and...

...damn how good that bronze series was? I was SO sure TLO had it after he got into 3-1 position, but Nony ended up making a sick comeback winning 3 games in a row! Looking back to earlier games TLO really failed to pull the finishing move in WhiteRa series too. He was 1 win away from finishing that too and ended up losing 3 games in a row at that too. Then again that loss can be excused by his bad luck with races as he got protoss 3 times in a row against 1 of the best protoss players in the world, yet still put up a good show on all the last games.
Either way is it just me or did it look like TLO played kinda on tilt on the last game? He made alot of small mistakes compared to his earlier terran games and I think that is what ended up costing him the game. He did very little scouting after start too and if he had done his usual barracks scout he could have prepared for those void rays on time.

In any case great tourney and I look forward to see more of them! Also gratz for the google partnership, well deserved!

the first post doesn't have the games there yet. They're on the youtube channels, but they're not organized at all, so you have to sort through all the games to find them, so it immediately told me how many games there were. Except that for some reason the last game isn't loaded yet, so while i was looking for that i read through this and of course someone decided to post the results.

Shameless "selfpromotion" again, if you start looking at the small sc2 vod thread http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=119948 , you wont get spoiled. Atleast not for the HDH invitational, as for the number of games, all games arent out yet for the finals(ETA on missing games?) so dont think you have been spoiled yet

I don't think this surprised anyone. While WhiteRa likes to use cheese quite often he is more known for playing "standard" protoss style extremely well and wins many games thanks to his sick micro skills. IdrA on the other hand is VERY predictable and his strenght is on his sick macro skills not so much at surprising his opponents with uncommon builds.
Nony's protoss style differs quite a bit from WhiteRa as he tends to use bunch of tactics you rarely (if ever) see from WhiteRa. The Phoenix build Nony is best known from on sc2 for example is something none of the tier 1 protosses have really used atleast in competetive games.
And TLO is just sick sick bag of tricks regardless of race he plays with. Propably the most entertaining player in the entire tourney to follow as you NEVER know what he is going to do (or what race he is spawning with =P).
So yeah, you basically had the 2 more unorthodox playrs fighting for the bronze while the more traditional and predictable ones were at the finale, so while both series turned out to be sick and entertaining I don't think it surprised anyone that we'd see more uncommon builds and tactics used in the bronze games.

Well there you go. There really was no point to read trough this topic. The first post doesn't have the VODs linked properly yet as they aren't properly uploaded yet.
You could have either A) waited for them to be linked here properly or B) go to their channels and look for the vods there. With plan B you risk getting yourself spoiled though as you'll see the # of games there even if you don't know the winner. So like if you only see 4 games uploaded you'll know player A wins the series if he wins the game 1. That I admit sucks and should be handled better on next tourney by keeping the 1st post (specially the VOD section) updated better.

Continues as a BO7.

(Great use of spoilers!)

It's still spoiling though since + Show Spoiler +
it reveals that it is 3-1 (at 2-2 the question wouldn't make any sense), so that when you watch the 3rd game, you know how the 4th will turn out.

But thanks for the info, those are really cool games, although + Show Spoiler +

Great matches, great tournement, great commentating, only thing I wish could improve is the upload time of the VODS. The finals took 80 hour+ to get uploaded, and since people dont know quite when/where etc many could be spoilered. Maybe if you somehow had a 48 hour guarantee, or state a time when the vods should be up, and update the main post often.

+ Show Spoiler +
I simply love white-ra, he is a great player and probably the coolest dude out there. HD calling him the cheesefactory really really annoyed me, one out of 6 games he cheeses, and he isnt known for doing all that much cheese in other games either. I was surprised to see him actually take the series, idra has been looking really strong lately, and I think white-ra showed us that pvz comes down to more then just who has the highest psi, he really used good unit combos and timing attacks to weigh up for Idras macro advantage. Especially the game on metapolis. Great games by both players, and congratulations on winning 2k and 1 k

gsteve, fix your spoiler tags.. actually spoiler pretty much your whole post please except the first sentence.

Watched the entirety of 3rd place match!!+ Show Spoiler +
TLO's play was really epic. So lucky that he didn't get toss after watching his games vs. White'Ra. Nony's Pheonix play against terran was quite funny concidering. I guess against TLO's game 2 and 4 play as zerg the only recourse is to go gateway into forge to force him off speedlings, then get sentries to forcefield against the incoming tech switch, either baneling/roach/hydra. Needs something to harass though!

AMAZING bronze match. Game 2 was one of the best ive ever seen. TLO and Nony rocks, very enjoyable styles made it better than the finals. You just have to watch this.
