But since russian mentality is a bit like swedish mentality, im sure beeing a bit of an underdog wont hurt him at all. Go white-ra, the best underappreciated player in sc2! white-ra definitely has more fans than most top players

Afaik they will upload them immediatly(soon™) as in within the next couple of days. It takes some time for the quality to be rendered by utube so i wouldnt bet on the matches being up in full qual before like 3 days or so.

Here are the questions ... hope it helps
What tournament did Husky start BroodWar commentaries on ?
Whose prominent name did Husky mess up on in the last cast ?
What was the firts web based game HD and husky played for our first patch review ?
What is the name of the company that sponsored the HDH ?
For Banshees HD likes to say Ban ___ <- Fill the missing part

Above poser is free to put his seemingly infinite understanding of the game into a tournament where he can comment on what he thinks is important... uhhh the TSL? lololol ok HDH invitational is awesome and all but TL.net already has dwarfed it twice with TSL and TSL2

Damn. Missed the email address.

Good luck to all players for the Ro8!

I'm really bummed out at the timing of the live broadcast. I'm in EST time zone and was at work.
Oh well. I'll go cry by myself now.

Thanks for the streams Hd/Husky! Looking forward to Round of 8
As for the questions, too bad I don't remember the answers for some questions. Oh well.

Did someone record it on a cellphone!!
:'(
Does this mean that R 08 will be cast before I get to even see the end part of R 16?

I actually think this tournament has really good timing.
People like me (who haven't played Brood War since like 2004) but got into the beta at the early stages have seen enough high-level replays to recognize all the players. With all the gamestop/amazon pre-orders, there's a LOT more people in the beta who are going to be looking for replays.

With round of sixteen over I would like to say well played by all players. Good luck to the eight who moved on. Sorry to the other eight who didn't quite make it. Also, thanks to HD and Husky for commentating the HDH Invitational, and of course IRip for making all this happen by sponsoring it.

My bad there. still, it's completely obvious that TSL3 will be a SC2 thing. TSL2 was clearly the last SC:BW TSL. and even beyond the TSL, teamliquid runs liquibition, team liquid clan wars, invitationals, etc. they always prefer to get the most knowledgeable commentators possible. its their preference. its what their community prefers. personally, i like all kinds of commentary. i see the strengths of different styles and i dont mind the weaknesses. but you aren't going to get anywhere by telling teamliquid people that "if they want something else, then go do it" cuz they already have done it.
there's nothing wrong with them civilly expressing their opinions about the commentary of other tournaments. i agree that there should be some minimum level of knowledge required. im pretty damn sure that husky and HD want to be the best commentators they can be. if they are making some basic errors when calling strategy, they want to be aware of it. the teamliquid folks are the ones in the best position to call them out in that respect

On April 29 2010 05:07 ComTrav wrote: Getting together an international tournament with sponsorship and prize money> recognizing muta/baneling IMO. Why? It may be hard to get the sponsorship, but what is it worth when the commentaries dont say the right thing or when the camera is on an uninteresting spot on the map?
As a german I have to live with translated versions of movies sometimes, but it is very frustrating, when the translation actually says the exact opposite of the english original at a crucial spot. English is rather easy to translate into german though, but I was pretty annoyed that several movies produced by the BBC got screwed up so wildly that they dont make much sense in german. Think about "off commentaries" like this and you should know where the focus should lie.
We are humans and we make mistakes, but why should we be satisfied with less than top quality? Mass is never better than quality for entertainment in real life simply we only have 24 hours a day and 7 days a week and no minute to waste with trivialities or outright bad stuff.
I am not saying that Husky and HD are bad, just that it might be wiser not to dwell so negatively on something they havent seen before. Starcraft 2 is played on very different regions in very different styles, so unexpected tactics are bound to surface sooner or later and if they have been standard in europe you are bound to sound silly if you commentate them as "unusual" or "wouldnt work" and they end up winning after all.
