HD & Husky got me into watching Starcraft. Now that i play it more often i love watching Day9 for more technical analysis which i love as well. But for pure kick back i still log onto my Youtube and watch HD & Husky.Thank you for the great tournament

Nazgul was very dominant, and I was a bit disappointed with I think Jinro(?) who lost to void rays twice, the second game he knew it was coming and must not have known that Thor's aren't very effective against Void Ray's, better to learn in the beta:D!

To be fair.... + Show Spoiler +

Void rushes are pretty damn good. Watched White Ra pwn Morrow with on in the Razer Domination tournament.Void Ray rushes aren't silly all in "snipe the cc" builds anymore.

I love HD and Husky! They seem about as knowledgeable to me as any of the other SC2 commentators, especially for youtube commentators. People have to remember that the game is still in beta, so it's not always obvious what strategies players are/will be using. I don't think they're up on youtube currently, but Husky seemed much more knowledgeable in his SC1 commentaries when I watched them.
I am a tournament organizazer.

Yea, the seeding was pretty messed up. I mean idra v. orb, day[9] v. tasteless, stuff like that was obviously not random, but I can totally understand why. The publicity of those high-profile matchups are very important in this stage of SC2's life and they will help to make HDH tourneys go a long way.

Some of the rounds were pretty short and one-sided but they were entertaining nonetheless and I look forward to the rest of the tournament.

HD/Husky perhaps in the future you could ask the players to make the requisite number of dummy game replays (or just play the full number of games past the point where the outcome of the matchup is decided) so that you yourselves don't know the number of games it took before casting. A couple times during the cast you guys let it slip offhand before watching game 1 even that game 3 didn't actually exist.

Can't wait for the last 3 matchups in the morning, loving the tournament so far

I enjoy the speed at which Husky and HD commentate at. They are very energetic and make sure their viewers don't fall asleep. I think this tournament is a wonderful thing for the community. Given the number of viewers on their first day...I'd say they're off to a good start. Some of their match ups were set up purposely for entertainment value, much like fights in the UFC or boxing matches are. I don't know why people are being so hard on these two?
Starcraft is like Chess......only with teeth and guns.

Great! Thanks for the perfect timing. I'll pay you guys a drink if you ever travel to Paris

On a side note, to all the sad people who flame this event, I don't understand what your point is... you'd rather there be no HDH? It seems pretty clear to me that H&HD are aiming to at least try to do this full time, which is great, we all love SC don't we? No even if they were bad (which they aren't), everyone is before getting better, so you would be better off giving them constructive criticism instead of stupid trolling.
By the way a good commentator is not necessarily someone with perfect knowledge of the game, it's someone who can convey the thrill and tension of the game being played. A great one has both. Day9 has a lot of insightful comments but to be honest he's not that much of a commentator, he's more like the guy who discusses the event after it happened, pointing out flaws, discussing strategies, etc... An analyst. Which is great, but it's different from live commentating IMO.

Cast it as you decided, I bet you'll make a lot of Europeans happy (sadly, by that time I'll be commuting from school).
For future casts, the only reasonable suggestion would be - limit them to friday nights (counting the timezone which is most behind, looking at you American Samoa ) and/or weekend.

Any chance you guys can cast it at around 6-7pm PST?

That way, people have more of a chance to watch live afterschool or after work.

Thors were a pretty smart choice since marine thor is pretty good vs ground and thors hit air. The ONLY anti void ray unit he was missing with the viking. He just got a bit too agressive. Void rays are REALLY hard to counter now the only thing that works well is a lot of vikings and you can't overproduce or you'll be run over on the ground. Quit bashing jinro void rays are really effective and tvp is like impossible to know what the P is doing. If you rush to vikings the toss has about 5 ways to kill you.
Blizzard really overdid it with the buff to void rays. They are used to abuse the low range/low hp of marines now and not to kill armoured units.

Wow whats up with all the whiners out there? ffs just stfu and let them run the tourney the way they want.

Accept the fact that it does not matter what time they cast it, there will be people who miss it anyway. If your unlucky enough to be at work, school, sleep or whatever, do like the rest of us and watch the vods.

The games are not played live anyway so why does it matter if you watch the cast or the vods?
