TvT marine+tank drop rush

Hihi, I played a game of TvT yesterday and it basically went like this: I was doing 2-1-1 and send an scv at 17 supply to scout (and saw 2 raxes + 1 gas and no 2nd cc). Soon afterwards my opponent started dropping marines + tank with medivacs and I didnt defend efficiently. Given my scout, I expected a marine rush, so I build my 2nd cc on the high ground. I guess a scan after my scout would have showed me I was wrong (about the marine rush), but I still dont see how to defend against this. The replay can be found here

Don't do 2-1-1 in TvT is the best tip I can give you right now.

I think 1-1-1 is probably the safest and most flexible thing you can do. If you see him skipping a 2nd CC, you're going to need either a second scout or an airtight defense for whatever he is bringing your way. In this case, a siege tank would have protected you from a marine rush AND helped you defend hist medivac siege tank push. If he's gonna be lifting into your base, you're gonna need bunkers to defend. Once you hold you're pretty much guaranteed the win.
