So, I just played what is perhaps the most epic PvZ game of my life. I successfully defended a 6 pool zerg rush while going nexus first using the following steps:
1) cancel the nexus if he is not attacking it, and run a couple of probes onto the map.
2)attempt to get a proxy pylon up on the map and along with a proxy forge
3) rebuild the nexus in a different area, perhaps your fourth or fifth base location.
4)Micro your workers and try to get as many minerals mined as possible, every bit matters!
5)once your nexus is completed make a pylon cannon wall next to it like normal pro players do for their third base. You build a pylon on the side, and a cannon next to it and then wall it off with gateways.
depending on your worker micro, you will either be SUPER FAR BEHIND or behind. If you are behind, there is still hope in this game! If you play well you can come back from it like me!
The message I want to present is the following: If you get 6 pooled while going for a greedy economic opener, don't just quit. You can still get back in the game even if you are in a state where you are behind. Besides, if the person you are playing is 6pooling on ladder, there is a good chance they are not adept at playing macro games. Use your skill to win.
