Hey guys im a mid master Terran and i struggle with macro-game quite a bit and i've decided to play kinda aggressively in any matchup. In TvZ i play fast hellion expand. I sometimes get my initial Hellions in his base and win with that. But at least i can pressure him a lot and force Roaches most of the time. But as i said my macro seems to suck balls and i wanna know where i messed up.
Here is teh Replay (i really cant see why i lost that and im pretty mad about the loss): http://www.file-upload.net/download-7833062/Steppe-von-Akilon--47-.SC2Replay.html
Thanks in Advance -Luk

982 points is not mid-high master. It's probably not even mid master.

- 21 minutes and you are only on 1/0. He is on 2/2 - Throughout the wohle game, he is a base ahead. - your initial harass did not do as much as you thought.
the upgrades are the most important part, did you even watch the replay?
//edit things to do better:
drop. hotkey your ebays and get constant upgrades going. think about ways to spend your gas (ravens or mass ghosts, both work very well in tvz lategame)

I thought about helping, and then I actually paid attention to the title.

How in the world were you placed against a grandmaster as platinum?

That was his 'spending skill', not the actual league.

if it makes you feel better your opponent is a 10-11 yo italian player.
On topic: -The opening did worthwhile damage. -You kept 21 SCV in your main for quite some time when your expo wasn't close to 16. (and there was no danger since you had an awful ( :D) amount of hellions -You were very ahead for most of the game, defending his attacks handily. -You were not aggressive enough. You had a huge advantage, you knew it but you didn't press it enough (drops, attacks etc) -You let him go on 4 bases with a 29 army supply vs 83. -Your first upgrade is reserching at 16:53, very very late and, very absurd thing, much later than your opponent who was so far behind. -It's good to defend and macro up if you are ahead, I am not saying otherwise, but you must keep up with upgrades else you are just putting a clock on your head.
It seemed to me that you were just trying to play with him thinking that you had already won but the toy snapped you... I might be wrong, though.

That's just the classic thing that happens when people that use to do builds to win early don't win with them, their follow up is terrible and they have no game sense. Having done damage, you should either have gone for a follow up timing to finish him once you had stim and medivacs, or gone for a heavy macro style with double upgrades and such. You can't just sit there without making upgrades and expect to win versus a competent zerg that'll mass expand and mass upgrades.

as people before said, you didn't upgrade.
what people didn't mention is that you didn't make enough production facilities.
you had 2 base production on 3 mining bases. 6 marines 2 marauders 2 medivacs at a time (and 2 widow mines, but you cut mine production anyway)
you max out 50 supply ahead of them (would have been faster if you had more rax.) the marauders are queued 4 deep in each tech lab.
you start fighting and trading (massively in your favour) but you aren't making enough units. supply drops and money skyrockets. wheres the 11 marine 3 mine 2 medivac marauder parade?
you should have never dropped below max during that push (and upgrades shouldn't have stopped either)
That's just the classic thing that happens when people that use to do builds to win early don't win with them, their follow up is terrible and they have no game sense. yep you looked like you were playing in unfamiliar territory for the latter half of the game.
pick a game of a bio-mine player and see when they up their production to go into parade mode. i have a feeling it's when they start 2-2 and drilling claws they just kind of add reactors onto every building at once, but i don't know for sure.

Sorry but even without watching the replay I can already say that your builds are stagnated to the degree that you do not know what to follow up with when your initial pressure does not do enough economic damage for you to either win with a followup push or by forcing the gg from your opponent. Be more creative, try different builds and put more thought into your decision-making when you attack your opponent. Your macro also needs some touching up since someone mentioned that you lacked upgrades later in the game.
Basically just focus on building more production facilities and doing the micro at the same time. It will take some practice but you'll definitely get there if you really want to.

Thanks for the advice so far Yeah i need a follow up Plan. And as an excuse; I played exclusively 2v2 for about a year. So Lategame is my biggest concern at the Moment
