I will post a replay when I get home.
Hello all,
I've been running into an issue with Blinding Cloud as a Terran Player. I've been curious how everyone else has been approaching it. In my most recent encounter, I had a 200/200 3/3 army of Thor, Medivac, Hellbat and then quickly remaxed on Thor, Medivac, hellbat, marauder/marine (2/1 bio) vs a presumably maxed zerg force of entirely roach hydra with 3-5 viper for blinding cloud. I try to kite after they cast it so that I'm out of it but they just destroy my units before I can get out of the cloud. I'm also wondering, and this may be a stupid question, but If I back out of the clouds and their army follows me and, as a result, ends up in the cloud, are they now affected by the range limit? Or is a zerg's brood immune to its own blinding cloud? Is blinding cloud a projectile similar to fungal where you have a short window to dodge it? I'm just curious what the best reponse is. I did scout them, I saw them charging up via eating their own buildings, I'm curious at that time if I should have maybe got 4-5 viking (still, afraid the hydra will just rip them apart) or go completely off my tech tree and get a few ghost for EMP/Snipe
all advice is appreciated!

I thought it reduced even their attack range too.'

Why does your remax include bio units if you play mech in the first place? And if you play mech, you mass Tanks against Roaches/Hydralisks, not Thors.
Zerg units are affected by Blinding Cloud. If you play mech, use Vikings to kill Vipers.

also mech without tank, isn't mech, but another a-move ball

Don't siege tanks get shut down by vipers even harder than thors? I used to go mostly mech (thor hellion) in wings, but vipers ruined my day so badly now I play bio widowmine.

Hellbat/Tank/Thor + Widow Mines is really effective against Roach/Hydra/Viper.. It's always good to have few Vikings to kill Vipers, I think 6 is enough 1-shot them. Of course, better Zerg players are going to pull some of your units into Hydra/Roach. It's then decided by micro, possitioning, unit compositions, economy, etc.. Exactly, how it should be.

You need to spread carefully, but tanks are still really good (and in fact even better, due to mine + hellbat allowing for a very good defense of your tank line)
