I've looked and found nothing about what im looking to find out . so hopefully a couple of people can give some good advice ,
playing as terran ghosts when do you use EMP when do you use SNIPE
Example
High Templar EMP or snipe? and why Infestor EMP or snipe ? and why broods are they worth sniping or not anymore?
basically when do you use EMP and when do you use Snipe i havent use ghosts much but i really need to start using them for late game
all the input and info would be great thank you

if the templar are clumped together and you can hit 3-4 at once, emp. If they are spread out or are trying to come at you individually to storm you, you snipe them. Same with infestors.
Broods arent worth sniping anymore unless they have 0 infestors and you have like 10 ghosts with full energy, its not cost effective.

Just use the rule of clumping. If you see a clump of units that you should EMP, use EMP. If your opponent's smart and casters are spread out, using 75 energy to EMP what you could kill with 2 snipes (50 energy) is inefficient use of your energy. What matters most is your own ability to identify when you're better off using EMP than snipe. Consider also, that a caster unit with full energy takes 2 EMPs to be rendered useless. That's 150 energy, where 2 snipes is still an insta-kill.
Broods are not worth sniping if there are queens guarding them, or infestors that you should be dealing with. You're probably better off using the energy on the support units and overseers, so you can use cloak to get closer to those soft targets. Broods by themselves are hardly scary enough to warrant the sniping.

if they are all clumped up in a deathball against deathball fight, dont waste your time with snipe, emp them. Snipe is only more energy effective if they are like coming after you one at a time trying to land a killer storm edit: my bad first guy said it allready but yeah exactly what he said

use EMP if u see them in a clump and us....... oh its been answered 500 times.

Yes EMP for clumps, and snipe for individuals, but in real game situation, when your ghost is about to die, just use whatever the hell you need to use, its better to let the ghost use emp/snipe other than panicking and not doing anything at all lol.
It will come with experience

It depends, remember that all a high templar has to do is get into range to storm and you've potentially lost a lot of units. In the poking phase you should use the rule of clumping and if your ghosts are in the right position in the engagement you can use snipes too, but if they're scattered around your army and you're not sure if you really have the time to be able to snipe, go for the EMP to be safe. EMP does also do shields remember, so it's not entirely cost inefficient if you EMP the protoss deathball anyway.
Against zerg you pretty much just have to EMP if clumped and snipe if not.

You're trading energy for health. Seems like a pretty good deal to me

TLDR: If they are clumped up EMP If they are spread out Snipe
Dont bother sniping on non-psionic unit.
