Hi there. I'm still making my way out of bronze, working on macro, always making probes, chrono boosting, remembering to scout, expanding and containing, etc... I'm looking for a stable/safe BO that only lasts until I scout, since that's when I try to start reacting to whatever the opponent is doing. I know I need to be able to react sooner if I see a 9 pool or bunker rush kind of stuff, so I'm looking for a default build order for the first few minutes, assuming play is standard.
I've watched a few replays, and it looks like a pretty stable BO that is good against any race/any BO is:
(Please correct/advise me, I'm not sure if I have this down right)
9 pylon send scout queue 10th, 11th, and 12th probe, with chrono 11 and 12 Build gateway queue 13th and 14th probe, do I only chrono here if I don't want 4gate? first gas on 14 queue 15th probe 15 pylon - for some reason I think it's supposed to be on 16 food, not sure where I've messed up Cybernetics From here, probe production and gateway unit mix until cyber is done, then Robo, make obs to scout, and then respond to what he is doing.
Thoughts?

nice basic. Yes it is 16 pylon and you should have 18 supply when the gate is done and you build your cyber.
Build zealot(v zerg and toss) and then gas when cyber is constructing. Stalker + warptech when it is done get the robo with next 100 gas. And it is good to build an other gateway after that because you need at least 2 and it is a good way to spend money until your scout is at his base.

1 gate robo can deal with everything outside master-league. I think he wrote that he wanted out of bronze not into master.

you bring up a good point with the 3rd chrono. If his scout is in my base I kind of like to keep it on reserve just so that in his head, there is still a chance of me 4gating him, even if I am not. If you are 4gating it goes like this --
what you had+..... core on 17 18th probe zealot (up to 20/26) 2 more probes (20 probes, halt production if you're doing a one gas 4 game) stalker (up to 24/26) 3 more gates at ~4:10-4:15 stalker (26/26) proxy pylon pwn
for your robo opening described above I recommend adding a 2nd or even a 3rd gateway before the robo just to be safe against toss. 1gate robo is pretty safe vs terran (then perhaps add 1 or 2 gates after robo goes down). and against zerg the 3gate fe is pretty much the best way to open.
Don't get too caught up in the food count/game timers.. as long as you are constantly making probes and not getting blocked and throwing down your buildings the second they are available and you have the money (and you're not queueing of course) your timings will be tight as anyone's

If you want to expand and be able to hold off early pushes, try 3gate + FE against zerg, works wonders http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/3-Gate_Sentry_Expand
Against toss, best opening is 4gate, not kidding. Just 4gate every PvP and get hang of micro and constant probe production without being supply blocked. Also, its good to know couple cheeses, to cheese well takes good timing and tad bit skill
I usually do 1gate + FE against terran but not on Steppes lol, just make sure to spread your sentries and don't get too many stalkers, zealots are great. Scout constantly and if Terran is getting 2nd early gas, be aware of banshee or Raven all-in, but most likely it will be Banshee in low level plays. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/1_Gate_FE_(vs_Terran)

I don't think he will be abgle to hold a 4 gate with 1 gate robo even in lower leagues. It is just too powerful to hold without and extremly good micro which he is not supposed to have. I think he will be in good shape if he gets to learn more than one build.

If you want a "noob safe" build order does that mean both able to counter cheese, and still play well? If so I'd recommend a 10 gate 2 gate robo build, the 10 gate allows you to defend any cheese easily, and even get your tech faster, while only having a tiny pause on your eco.

Unfortunately, there aren't any guides around for standard builds except for CecilSunkure's PvP thread. I will try to post guides for the other matchups so that players can have access to the most standard, non-gimmicky builds that let you work on your mechanics and improve the fastest, without having to worry about things like "I'll have to learn different build upon reaching gold league, then another one at platinum, ..."
