So I believe the most viable way to get to a prime position to hold is to get the 40/40 biomass and open with medic/hellion. The outback hunter hellions offer great early defense. Then for the second upgrade, have one of you pool and rush siege tanks and continue to produce siege tanks. (They work all the way up to the point until mass abberations start to run in). You'll want to build up mass marine/medic in the center to prevent nydus (perhaps have one of you mass marauder to deal with the stanks and the armored units) The game is pretty much over after mass abberations start to pierce you from all angles. Someone wanna figure out how to deal with the mass abberation/spotter attack around wave 18-20? Post your highscores/input!

You want only tanks and tank ups! You need every bit of gas so don't up medics/... or even bother making anything else. Just PF, Bunkers, Tanks, Rocket Towers!

i only played this 1 time. got to 55 minutes, but i have no screen.

the main problem was getting mined out and no money left to repair the bunkers :X

Is there actually any way to make use of the half-expansions north and south? I mean, any way of long-distance mining early on or so? It might give you a little edge later on if you just managed to get some extra resources.

I've only played this on normal difficulty, but extra money can be had by cleaning out an infested base and long distance mining during the daytime.

Edit: Never mind I confused this with Left 2 Die.

if your not on night2die mode u can set up an expo at the day and by night have it defended with tanks flameturrets pfs and bunkers

its rather easy at the start with some MM. i didnt realize at first that you cannot do anything like destroying buildings or so on night 2 die.

initially i wall with 3bunkers, get enough vultures for landmines to deal with hunters. marine medic to start. place a bunker and 2 turrets behind your mineral line. upgrade to planetary when you have loads of mins.

Later, I wall with 2 planetaries at the bottom/top, get a bunch of scvs set on autocast and hold position right behind the planetaries. This is a very strong wall, but your resources will run dry fast if you mass repair. You need to get lots of DPS units so you aren't repairing 24/7.

Get tanks fast and upgrade. Set a perimeter of tanks around where the nydus pops out and focus it immediately. If your bunkers haven't died, salvage and replace with 1 planetary. set some scvs on hold/autorepair as well.

Make a lot of turrets + tanks on high ground, leave 2 scvs at each for auto repair

GET THE BUILDING REPAIR UPGRADE. i forget what it's called, it's from the campaign where buildings automatically put out fires and repair themselves to half life or something.

idk how useful these are but i've seen perdition turret spam be pretty useful. i don't use them, i'd rather bank resources for repair but it might not be the best way.
