I'm having trouble with the "Xel'naga Base Decals Amon" doodad.

When the game quality is "High" or higher it appears fine in game and in the editor. However when the quality is set to "Medium" or "Low" some of the doodads don't appear.

Oddly enough the "Xel'naga Base Decals" doodad which is almost identical doesn't have that problem and appears no matter the quality.

Has anyone encountered this problem before and is there a way to fix this?

There is a synch issue you might be overlooking!?
When you publish your map or when you place objects on your map terrain, you have a set of graphics settings set / a set being used "live" which should be the same (saving your map after changing preferences seems like a useful cautious idea).

Furthermore there is this:
-set your galaxy preference to high and save, publish
--set your galaxy preference to low and save, publish

are not the same (or are they?)

In any case, the models have a set of data fields that differentiate this aspect through data:

a field named : C model low quality model
selecting the proper model (the same that is used in the Cmodel field (the one with the window showcasing the model)) might fix.

Open data + Show Spoiler [module] +
/Select models/Select "xeln base decal amon etc" model/Select low quality model field/select the model/Save publish test
Trick is .. on which graphic settings do you add the doodad/model and on which you publish!
my advice? to take them all off, set to low settings, change the low quality setting field to the model
save
replace them as you see fit
save
publish test

hf
(Disclaimer, some hd models wont appear in low settings because they wont .. they can't .. in that case selecting another model will fix)

Why has no one but me tried to do a

team liquid community map dream pool survey?

Step one: make the thread

step 2 record everyone's input (people pick 10 maps they think should be in the map pool (any past present map, just as long as it is featured on tl))
and we get a view of what posters think
step 3 compile the data into results.//graphs etc

i even have a name for it:

Omygod Community Dreampool!

Don't know why, but when I try to box stuff in in the editor, my box is now a sideways/inverted diamond. Don't have any pictures of course, but if anyone else has had a similar experience, and found a solution, please help

When I have published updates to my map, and then I go on sc2 and play it, it loads with a random extension mod game mode.

I really have no idea why its doing this, but its been random for different versions 0.1 was zombie mode, 0.2 was normal, 0.3 is some starmod extra or something. Only thing i've changed was some textures and mineral patch locations between versions.

Command D (toggles or untoggles the diagonal selection mode)

The "bug" you are mentioning is not one.. i'll refrain from mentioning what it is (again) ..+ Show Spoiler +

YOU are responsible (lol, you selected to use the "wrong" selection process lol)!

To ensure pesky mods to not be "attached" "automatically" .. you have to look for your map in the search bar and select it.. you CANNOT get your map from/with the "recently played" method

if you do use the recently played.. it will ALWAYS add someone's mod

(yes that person/modmaker is responsible for adding it to your map)

if you go to your published maps: same thing

(the fact that only recently uploaded maps get this is the proof of intent from the mod pusher)

To play your map without unwanted attached mod : just type the name of your map in the search bar and the result will be YOUR map.

I have an issue with the region login when attempting to publish, it only shows default, which when I attempt to log in to gives me this message:

"This Battle.net account has no Starcraft 2 character associated with it. Please log in from the game first to create a character, then try again."

I believe this is because its trying to sign into the US server which I don't have an account for. Anyone have a fix for this problem so I can select to login to the EU server.

Log in from the game into the different regions and create a character for each of the regions before publishing.

I have that's the thing, I have played the game since release. It doesn't even give me the option of picking a region other than "Default" in the drop down when I want to login the editor.

I have previously published this level and am attempting to publish an update.

Or are you saying you now need an account in every region to publish at all?

So creating a US account has allowed me to login now. Is this a bug or did they change the way it worked?

No in theory you should just need an account in the region you are publishing to. I'm not sure what the problem is then.

The publishing servers are not the same, they are giving you the opportunity to not make the same id on other regions?!

Publishing is done according to different locales, as such different eula's etc.. blizz has to make you make an account for each.

Then again it takes just the time to do it!?

These are seperate contracts, the game itself and the battlenet are two entities.. when playing and when uploading for others.

Sc2 worldwide the same it is not! (ask the chinese!)!

I've also experienced issues when logging into bnet within the editor. Seems like it's just buggy as far as I can tell. Really annoying - I never had the issue pre-lotv.

So, I have these two textures with an appropriate normal map and diffuse map, but when imported, it appears this way;

What did I do wrong to my normal map? 'Cause it looks fine with the other maps already in the game.

So I have manged to somehow mess up my editor view not sure what setting is causing it though and it is making it impossible to place resources around expos.

You can see below the difference between Lock Game View Settings and without that on.

Whats the best way to measure the "in-game seconds using a worker from town hall to town hall" the TLMC requires you to list or your maps, now that the map analyzer doesn't show it? (Not to mention I can't even run map analyzer on my computer)

Do you have to manually click a worker from one location to the other in-game and try and time it as accurately as you can?

There is a measuring tool in the editor, but it doesn't show it in worker seconds. Is there a commonly used conversion rate?

Clicking and timing is probably the best way but keep in mind that ever since LotV, the "Faster" game time and real time are now 1:1. All of the old time values that analyzers used were for game time, not real time. Divide their old values by 1.4 to find out what that time would be in LotV.

I believe collapsible rock towers are conjoined by default as long as they are close enough together.
