Losing the factory hurt the most I think, also I guess because of spending all that cash on turrets and bunkers, ssamjjang got outmassed big time!

Damn that american newbie with no micro!

Notes:

1) If ssamjjang sent reinforcements when the bunkers fought off the mutaling, he would have pretty good chances of winning. Greatly somewhat unsmart

2) ret gives love to guardians

Indeed that is the optimal way of breaking a push in my opinion. Lots of gas early to get those muta out quick, and harrass until you have enough muta ling to just smash it. It allows you to switch to lurker more easily and you can get a nice lurker/ling/scourge going and take a few bases because it will be a while before he has vessels.

Much more effective than 3 hatch speed ling.

Ssamjjang is Korean but all things considered he isn't very good anymore. Maybe if we went back to somewhere around 1999 or 2000 he would be gosu.

He finished 4th I think in hanaro communications tooniverse starleague. The one where Grrr won anyway.
I guess he went into army and just recently got back~_~ He is the father of wild 2-3 fac pushes I think.

i played him and won on the itv exhibition match australia vs korea, back a few days after wcg2001 (aus wcg organizer set it up).

That was ssamjangs first come back game since he had finished his army service.

So he has been back for a long time now, i think in the last gamei ladder he was unable to break 1400. T_T

He is training lots now so maybe he will get better and return to his former glory.

Yeah Ssamjang used to be really sexy. I guess 2 years sorta kills your dedication esp when u used to be really good. It's gotta be frustrating to be him.

But, if the terran did 3 rax m&m after his factory instead of teching to vessel ret wouldn't get out that easily. He would've had twice the amount of infantry and his expand would die. A fast tankpush like this on 3 position, where the terran goes 3 rax, is really hard to get out of. Ret would need 6 lurkers at least to pull that off, and hope the terran didn't reach his expand yet. After that, terran can just expand and tech to vessel and play it out.
