having koreans in the tournament makes it extremely exciting (like having a few foreigners in the gsl). my biggest concern though (which will likely never happen because of the expense of tickets for such a small prize pool) is having the top 16 or so be all koreans. then its just the gsl...

edit: on second thought, nasl might be big enough to get a top 16 korean bracket. that would be upsetting.

I find it sad that people would rather watch lower quality games than the best in the world.

I love TvT but hopefully we see Korea send more P/Z for variety in the future.

Finals were nice and they didn't bother me. What bothered me were the predictable korean vs foreigner games. For a long time I've hoped that the gap would close but it never seems to happen. So we get predictable thus boring games.

I ended up watching only a handful of games, mostly Kr vs. Kr and I enjoyed the finals (I have to admit that I'm a fan of MVP)

I was taken by surprise when Boxer 5-0'd his group, beating players from Code S and making it to the semis! The showdown between The Emperor himself and his hand-picked ace apprentice was absolutely the highlight of the tournament. MMA deserves to be in Code S after winning MLG Columbus, making a run to the finals in the GSL Super Tournament, and then nearly matching his prior MLG performance this time around!

I definitely like watching non-Koreans better than Koreans as long as I am familiar with the person. It's mostly because I know the non-Korean players better. Games are just games; I think it's the players who are controlling the game that make things more interesting as well as their story line if they have one.

Like 8 TvTs in MLG, kinda annoying. The first 4ish were ok, just another match here and there. But when it got to quarter finals I stopped watching.

Agreed the poll is a bit biased, suggesting that you enjoyed the finals one way or another. I honestly couldn't bring myself to watch it.

Well, my natural tendencies will be to cheer for who I know. The fact they were Korean didn't bother me. It was the play style. The hour long match was incredibly boring. It was interesting to see what they did but it took almost 15 minutes for the main attack to begin...... I was T v T'ed out by the end of the tournament. I also agree with the fact a bo3 seemed short.

I keep hoping foreigners take some pride and start practicing with the intensity and desire of koreans, but either they are content with never winning anything again, or koreans do own white dudes ..

I voted maybe a little bit, but I still watched/enjoyed it. I'm not going to lie. If a foreigner (especially IdrA) was in the finals, I would've been much more excited assuming the same quality of games.

Having only Koreans left made me even more interested. I could care less about foreigners, honestly, why would people rather watch a foreigner match over something like MVP vs DongRaeGu or MMA vs. DongRaeGu. The top Brood War scene hasn't had any foreigners for years and it's been the most entertaining e-sport ever for me.

Exactly. At this point foreigners are the ones that make shit boring when they luck through. The top players hail from Korea and they are the matches to watch.

This. Oddly worded poll options imo. The tvts were really good, I don't see how anyone could've not enjoyed those. They weren't slow or boring at all as is the stereotype. Those games were so clutch, it was awesome. But yeah I'd rather watch koreans who crush top foreigners play than the foreigners who get crushed.
