So I take it that the plans of TL is to make the TSL similar to MSL and OSL? Always going on?

There's too many SC2 tournies going on and TSL is not your average tournament. Its something special.

TSL needs hype and build up, two TSLs in such a short period is just not healthy for anyone.

Let the SC2 scene settle down before the next TSL imo.

I think twice a year is most optimal. One in spring and one in winter.

Once a year would be fine too.

Otherwise you become the new GSL where its just tourney on tourney on tourney, and its hard to remember and sherish the moments once they do happen because a new tournament is already happening.

Twice a year, anything more and I think it will lose some of the magic.

I think that once a year is great, it really helps the anticipation and hype build up around it.

Don’t get me wrong I loved TSL 3, and I can barely wait for the next one! It’s just the rarity of the event that makes it so much sweeter when it’s finally time. Too much TSL might makes it the norm, but when it’s less often it becomes a prize.

Even if it does start coming more often I’ll be tuning in, because the TSL would still be awesome. And hey, maybe I’m wrong and it’d turn out better.

I voted to start right now, but after reading some post i definately think the tsl shouldn't be something that is continuous running but once a year is too sparse. Twice a year would be awesome!!!

Leagues already come too fast. The further the distance between the tourney's the greater the prestige attached since it will mean repeat performances don't mean consistency over a few months, but rather years.

Too many tourney's, too often already. Keep the TSL as a special thing. OSL and MSL only happen 3 times a year, and that's 6 whole tourney's a year. I feel like the few times it happens increases the importance of them.

I vote one year wait.

As often as possible! Having the luxury of watching TSL on a Sunday evening is perfect! And I also get to hear Chill commentate, which I find most aurally pleasing.

IMO once a year would be perfect, and space out qualifiers over a longer period of time so players can accumulate more points. This would ensure the best get their spots not just for one lucky streak when others are competing at other tournaments but rewarding consistently high performance.

wait a bit

I think twice a year is a good pace.

I really think SC2 e-sports is getting close to saturation and I'd rather TSL remain special and unique. six months between the start of each TSL shouldl achieve that imo.
E-Sports is competitive video gaming with a spectator fan base. Do not take the word "Sports" literally.

Once a year would make this more prestigious opposed to something like NASL (not saying NASL isn't good it's just there's something special about TSL and I think if it happens all too often it will lose it's 'zest').

Given that this TSL took about 4 and a half months, if there are supposed to be three a year, qualifiers need to start asap, and if there are going to be 2 a year then waiting a little while would mean waiting for 1 and a half months if the intervals between TSLs are to be regular.

wait it out at least a couple of months.

people keep voting start qualifiers now because they're still jacked up on the most recent games, but they don't get or don't care that the tournament's relevance will suffer from the freshness of the last one, and it will lose a lot of prestige if it occurs too often.

one per year might be a bit too much though just because the scene in sc2 is so god damned big and volatile, the TSL needs to be fresh in people's minds.

3/year seems too much because of the cluttering of major events, and the TSL is and most certainly needs to remain a major event.

wait a few months, do it twice per year or every 9 months, and prepare the schedule for it depending on what MLG and GSL announce at the start of the year and work from there.

Once a year is good. It makes the TSL more special if it's not something that's always going on.

I wouldn't complain if the masses got their wish and qualifiers started now, though.

Make it once a year and really big. The BW TSL with the massive laddering was awesome, you could do something similar, or maybe hold preliminary tournaments with smaller cash prizes. If it's still feasible to have people ladder a lot to get into the tournament, do it, if major players don't have the time any more because they're busy with G(T)SL, ISL and NASL, invite a couple + seeds from TSL3. Another advantage of a big tournament is the build-up: If it takes 3 months from qualifiers to finals, it will gain momentum and provide players with a larger frame of reference to measure themselves.
