Seen overall, it has to be Nada vs Boxer. I think this is clearly more accknowledge than Foxer going to the finals, atleast in Korea, although that's pretty big as well.

I vote Foxer because almost everyone was expecting Nada vs. Boxer already when it started because of how the brackets were set up.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just like, your opinion man

I still can't believe the finals for the GSL is between Clare and ZergBong. To be fair, Sc2 still has a ways to go.

It's Boxer v. NaDa, obviously.

BoxeR should autowin every poll on TL, though because he has to share that option with Nada my vote goes to FoxeR

Foxer's play was amazing, but overshadowed by Nada vs Boxer IMO.

From BW.

Voted Nada vs Boxer. I didn't expect anything from either of them, mainly due to unfamiliarity with the game and lack of practice time/partners. Foxer was good last season and I wasn't surprised to see him step up.

are people who are voting Nada v Boxer people who've watched those games? Because I'm confused. I'm a huge Boxer fan as far as BW is concerned, but I've never seen a Boxer game where I go "wow, that was great play" and NesTea crushed him without batting an eye.

Foxer on the other hand...

Spoiler alert - there's a spoiler button right next to where you post. Zenio's ceremony was throwing an elbow after he crushed Idra. He did this because Idra was bm to him and all his pals in ladder. Go figure.

I voted for Nada vs Boxer because the vote has nothing to do with Nestea vs Boxer, it has to do with the best storyline, the most compelling part about the GSL2, which is the transfer of these two Broodwar greats to the grandstands of the SC2 scene. I can understand a vote for Foxer here, but honestly I think this "surprising newcomer" thing is not gonna be unique. FD did it, now Foxer did it, and it's gonna be someone else next season.

Foxer wasn't in last season.

That said, Foxer has AMAZING micro and great macro, but his strategies need work.

I voted for NesTea because he was HORRIBLE (wat is a creep tumor?!) in GSL Season 1 and just beat BoxeR AND made it look easy.

He also hasn't dropped a single match, unlike FoxeR (who almost lost to a Zerg who a-moves infestors).

Foxer aka Boxer has been the surprise of the tournament! He has definitely given himself a name epically that round against KyrixZenith (first game). Give the kid credit! he beat two of the finalist (with marines) and had one of the toughest draw. His style is unique and exciting to watch! His like the new federer in the gsl. Just Beaut to watch! And he can actually pull off the maka rax and dodge banelings!

Friendly reminder: The poll does not concern whether the games of the GSL were entertaining or not but rather about what made the biggest head lines from the GSL. Clearly the two bonjwas return to SC2 battling it out against each other (Disragerding whether the quality of the games) in the quatre finals must've made the biggest impact world wide, given that I even know some people who dont even play SC/SC2, and even less follows the professional scene, have heard about Boxer.

Edit: Atleast that's how I understand it

I'm just praying to the TL gods that one of the mods gets pissed enough at this guy... fail spoiler-ing & defouling the name of the Emperor. TL has a nice spoiler button, use it.

lol just because ZB killed Boxer doesn't change the fact that a near-30-year-old legend in ANOTHER game who's far passed his prime STILL made the SEMIFINALS of an international tournament for a brand new game, and that ANOTHER legend who's considered the GOAT of BW happened to meet Boxer on the way there in the quarters. How. The. Heck. Is. This. Not. Winning.

When it comes to the poll, there were generally three rules:
1) When a TL'er appears (Idra Ret Tyler TLO), TL AUTOVOTE.
2) When Boxer appears, BOXER AUTOVOTE.
3) When Nada apperas, NADA AUTOVOTE.

I cannot believe this madness. How in the world is Boxer & Nada not winning... it almost singlehandedly shut down the internet, for christ's sake. IMO the fact that Foxer is doing great should help Boxer-vote, because he's actually doing things that Boxer created with Boxer's ID.
The probability of Kim Carrier getting all those predictions wrong is similar to the probability Flash loses a TvT. Kim Carrier MUST BE a genius. His only big mistake... STORK.

Zenio's 'ceremony' doesn't even deserve to be on the poll...in any other country, that would just be what you do when you win an important match. How it is supposedly 'making a buzz' in Korea is completely beyond me.

If you're gonna violate cultural norms you should go all-out like Firebathero.

Foxer finally showed terrans that you HAVE to spread your marines properly to be allowed to whine. His marine spread is really the biggest storyline, not Foxer's personal rise. Everyone did this in bw, but ppl only stop/hold in sc2 in to many cases.

Well it says "biggest storyline", so it's not necessarily about the quality of the games but the sheer fact that the two played each other.
Also Boxer didnt make me go wow (at least not through his play), but Nada seemed to have really really strong TvZ. And the fact that either of those two go far is big news, no matter how they get there.

Not sure which one to vote for though ^^

NaDa vs Boxer was definitely hyped up but honestly it wasn't all that great of a series. Boxer beat NaDa pretty handidly. Plus, NO ONE saw Foxer making it to the finals, especially after his showing in the Ro64. I gotta go with Foxer. He's a beast.

Not exactly, FD was a top player before the GSL and was a favorite to win from the start. FoxeR just came out of no where and despite everyone thinking he will fail miserably, tore everyone (except kyrix) apart on his way to the finals. FD was just a good player who people expected to go high, but not exactly win. FoxeR everyone expected would fail miserably.

i voted foxer, but i dont think its just about his "rise", i think the fact that there were 2 boxers, the name "foxer", the possibility of a boxer vs boxer final, and lastly him making it further than the real boxer.

i dont think it would have been even close to as big a deal if his ID wasnt boxer, and the real boxer wasnt in the same tournament.

FoxeR did incredible to get to the finals and im thoroughly impressed, especially with this marine micro vs banelings on shakuras plateu. But the fact of the matter is that Boxer and nada, the 2 of the biggest Terran names of SC:BW, just duked it out against eachother in the long awaited sequal game with a tournament prize pool of $87,000....cant stress how big of a deal that really is for fans everywhere, easily should be the winner

FoxeR not just because he was a dark horse. FoxeR is just a fascinating character. First of all his name, Boxer, just makes you wonder if he can live up to the name. He begins in round of 64 with a ghost/nuke play where he almost gets knocked out for playing like a dumbass. Then he beats the GSL 1 champion 2-0! And then SangHo 2-0! And then we see the incredible marine vs baneling play in a really close 3-2 match with non-stop action. And then he knocks out the GSL1 runner up. And we learn that he is willing to change his name to FoxeR for his foreign fans.

This guy's story is kind of ridiculous. Even more so than Nada v Boxer, in my opinion.

lol. I watched so few of the games that I feel kinda bad for voting. :o didn't know FoxeR was such a genius. though, I would still say that having two of the best starcraft 1 players ever (the two that switched over) playing in GSL of starcraft 2 seems more epic, because a bunch of players rose: Kyrix, Mr.T (who calls him that? Artosis?). and who cares about "Zenio's ceremony"? beating irda? -___- It's not a miracle by an standards. hell, it's not even surprising. Zenio is very good.

I voted Mr. T because I expected there to be new starcraft 2 commercials involving Mr T.
However, I realized that was just a sad dream, and I am only meant to be disappointed.

BoxeR vs NaDa means nothing, wow @ fanboys. Wow 2 BW players play together... yay...

I'm not even close to a Foxer fan, but he could POSSIBLY be the first Bonjwa in SC2

what's Zenio's ceremony?

SPOILER ALERT: NesT killed Boxer ... losers from non-entertaining matches dont get my vote, even if they do have an awesome legacy from a different video game. What have you done for me lately SlayerSBoxeR?

Is there an uploaded video of his BM? i just wanna see his BM thats all (unless you mean BM as in leaving without gg).

Foxer for sure.

Look, I understand what a legend Emperor was and how BW legends collide is a good storyline and all... but still their clash left a lot to be desired. I got caught up in the hype for their match and was pretty let down by the results. so the HYPE was good, the match itself wasn't.

Foxer, what a gamer! After a horrid start, he started gaining hype with his insane micro and games with FD. The HYPE around his play was great, and then he met and even exceeded expectations with games all the way to the finals. Thats what makes Foxer the best storyline of GSL2

Foxer gets my vote simply because he has been playing at a higher level than anyone else i have seen earlier in sc2. I'd be surprised if he didn't win.

The final 4 of a tournament with THIS prize pool was occupied by IntoTheRainbow, Clare, SlayerS_BoxeR, and Zergbong

Jaedong and Flash have gotta be facepalming at least a LITTLE bit

DEFINITELY Foxer's rise. His Ro64 games were god-awful. Then he went on to stomp SangHo, Cool, and ITR. Theres a reason everybody was just calling him a fake to begin with.

None of these.

It's obviously Jason Lee's trollface at IdrA and that talk about being a "villain".

How could you vote for anything other than Nada Vs. Boxer. I mean I love Foxer and his MARINES as much as the next guy but this rivalry and prestige is something that SCII is lucky to have.

Biggest storyline (and therefore coverage xD) is Foxer's Rise, but my favorite storyline is Nada vs Slayers Boxer

Foxer, just because no one knew of him yet he's in the finals and is amazing. Nada and Boxer was only great because the players used to be great; the matches were good but not amazing.

It's such a hard call between Nada v BoxeR and Foxer's story, but I've got to give it to Foxer. A clash between legends is great, but a star rising out of nowhere to possibly win the GSL is absolutely amazing.

was never a big bw esports scene follower however I can respect why people would make a lot of commotion over those 2 legends meeting. However foxer coming out of nowhere, taking out last years champ and the most aggressive zerg in the gsl2, while a lot of terrans are struggling against zerg after patch was the biggest story for me. Love watching that guy play.

I actually voted Zenio's ceremony, just because I really liked a korean showing emotions and someone getting back at Idra. (Oh, I didn't realie mister T meant NesTea).

i had a feeling that mr.T could be nestea, but all my thinking went like "Mr.T and ZergBong, how could that fit together..." and i didnt realize it, so i gave up and voted on foxer
All what KT currently needs is a Zerg and a second Terran

Zenio's ceremony was self masturbation. BoxeR vs Nada doesn't matter anyway, because BoxeR lost at the very next round. I think it's FauxeR's sensational appearance, but i still voted for Zenio's ceremony :D
