it probably don't have a meaning, but since the first time I came to tl (back in 2007), I had this in mind everytime I looked at the horses.. so I love them! keep'em !

I don't think anyone will stop coming here if you change the banner. I do think that it is a turn off to new visitors. I'm very new as of SC2 and I do remember being weirded out by the banner (I played SC1 but not in the last 5 years). So in that sense it is a "win" if you change the banner to something less awkward. You will get more visitors if you change it so you should change it. Those people who are traditionalists need to realize what is best for the site and expanding the popularity of SC2. Like someone above me said, you can always give the old guys the option of having the old banner once they sign in.

The presence of this banner will not affect my frequent visitation to teamliquid. I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of facelift, perhaps something with a darker contract so all these whites don't blind me.

As a new member of this site I can say I was quite confused by the banner, since it has nothing to do with SC. Then again, it's not a big deal. It's just a banner.
