I really wonder how much can be attributed to Boxer's return to SKTT1. I would say the main success of SKT has been the rise of Fantasy as a stable player (and thezerg's small winstreak in Round 4 allowed for a LOT of 3-1s between him and fantasy/Bisu). Can most of fantasy's 2009 success be attributed to Boxer returning? Maybe, I mean fantasy is easily the most like boxer in play-style out of the modern Terrans I would say.
It might just be a coincidence but I realize SKT's TvZ has improved a lot since Boxer's return.

A bone to pick with your recap of SKT-1's 2006 championship: Oov already feared Savior at this point. Oov's "invincible" TvZ was no longer invincible.
As for predictions, I actually think that OZ has a shot. They need to put all their eggs into the day 1 basket (again).
Fantasy definitely can win against JD, but on a map that gives Zerg the advantage, JD should take it.
However, don't entirely count Lomo out on his TvT with Canata. They are 1-1 vs each other and just like how Canata used to be known for his TvT, Lomo's TvT used to be whispered as being strong (then the floor dropped out from under him). Rather ironically, Lomo's "good TvT era" came to an end after beating Canata last time. Canata is the obvious favorite, but don't write Lomo off; SkyHigh is undeniably one of the top 3 TvT players in the world (and he raped Leta twice to prove it) and Canata's TvT right now is not the same level.
ggaemo vs Hyuk is totally up in the air.
While Best's PvP has always been strong (even if it looks much weaker now than it did before), BackHo is "Mr. I Can Win Or Lose Vs Anyone" himself.
Killer vs thezerg is totally up in the air.
And while Bisu is the serious favorite vs Hiya, don't discount the dragon slayer.
If OZ makes it to the ace match they should take it. Neo harmony forces SKT-1 to send Fantasy because of the bad PvZ there. JD should prepare to play Fantasy twice and if he focuses especially hard on this game, then they have a chance.
Day 2 looks bad for OZ and the super ace is on Destination, which again is a map where SKT-1 should rely on Fantasy because of the strong TvZ there, but they can also use Bisu if necessary. However, Destination is not terrible for Zerg, so OZ can win if JD can get to play the super ace.

And dont take Lomo for a scrub.. yeah he is not Fantasy or he is not Flash but he is capable of winning against a Terran on that map (if he doesnt suicide all of his tanks agains to a mine), remember that on the last SKT1 vs Oz Lomo won against Fantasy (idk if the last but he won).

SKT GOGOGO! I was really hoping for a khan v skt final, since the two teams are so similar, but this is better than skt v cj because of jaedong v bisu.

I think that people shouldn't underestimate Lomo and Hiya on day 1. Lomo recently beat Fantasy on Shades of Twilight and Fantasy's tvt is better than Canata's. Hiya may be up against Bisu, but it's important to remember that tvp is Hiya's best match up and Bisu's worst.

SKT has the advantage of sending out either a T or P for a ace/super ace against JD. JD can't practice for everything.

Thats very true but I would also say that Jaedong is way more motivated to win than any SKT Ace.
I think its about 50% for Jaedong to win Super Ace if it comes down to it.
