Thanks to all who came out and to our Hero player of the day, IdrA!
Discuss the event here.
Our hero player Idra played 10 matches including a 3v1 against "Team IRC". The event went for just over 3 hours so big thanks to everyone who showed up to watch and try get games. Good luck to Idra as he will be heading off to Korea next weekend to join Estro as a practice partner!
Our community winner for episode 2 was "HovZ" whos TL id is "._.". He walks away with a MASTER mousepad courtesy of the fine folks over at esportnova.com.

VLC alone should handle it easy. Any decent media player should do the job, i dont know what codecs the stream is using but VLC will play for sure

The stream is Windows Media, so it should play best in Windows Media Player (make sure you have latest version installed for the codecs), but it also plays fine in VLC and should work in GOM too.

VLC has always worked perfectly with this. Can't wait to watch this awesomeness!
... Although I still think the rule should be that none of the players can listen or watch the stream during the match.

whenever i open mms://streamliquid.net/ windows player opens, buffers, starts playing audio, but where's the video? am i missing something or am i suposed to watch something along with media player in the background?

I just watched it, and I have some questions. First, how do you get Starcraft to play in a window? And second, what was up with the team melee? Was Idra playing four people at once?

Idra was playing against 3 people at once (Intrigue, Littlechava and Rage) who are 3 forum regulars/vets. You can put Starcraft into windowed mode by downloading Chaos Laucher

To clarify: In team melee, you play a 1:1, but with multiple people controlling each side. So 3 people were controlling the same Zerg, against only Idra controlling the Terran. They were playing Blue Storm, which is a two player map, so there was no room for 3v1.

Playing alone vs 2 team melee-ers is like 2 times harder to win especially if they play decently. But 3 ppls ? Come on who needs that ? One for macro and one for micro is enough. Or maybe 1 another to drops ?... :p
