This evening the fifth CJ Media SuperFight took place, using an interesting concept. Take three of the best players in each race, and pit them against one another on three brand new maps. After picking three captains based on recent successful performances, fans had a chance to vote for the remaining rost spots. The were as folows:

-슈퍼파이트를 통해 최강 종족으로 자리매김했다.
▶이지호 감독=개인적으로 단체전 첫 우승인 것 같다. 너무 기쁘다.
▶김택용=프로토스가 약세라는 말이 많은데 우승을 차지해 정말 기쁘다. 프로토스는 약한 종족이 아니다.
▶오영종=2회 정도부터 슈퍼파이트에 출전하고 싶어서 안달이 났었다. 이번에는 팬투표로 출전하게 됐지만 다음에는 실력으로 출전할 수 있도록 하겠다.
▶강 민=후배 게이머들과 함께 경기를 치른 것 만으로도 충분히 의미가 있는 대회였다고 생각한다. 우승까지 하게 되어 더욱 기쁘다.

> Coach Lee Jee Ho = Our first personal team event victory it seems. We are so happy.
> Kim Taek Yong = Many say that Protoss is a forsaken race, but I am glad for securing this victory. Protoss is not a weak race.
> Oh Young Jong = I was anxious to battle ever since the second superfight took place. I got to battle by the vote of fans, but next time I’ll make sure I get there by skills.
> Kang Min = Being able to compete with the younger generation of gamers made this a significant tournament for me. Securing victory made this even more joyful.
-프로토스 팬들은 유난히 단결력이 뛰어난 것 같다.
▶강 민=우리도 느끼고 있다. 타 종족을 응원하는 팬들도 많지만 프로토스 팬들은 특히 뜨거운 응원을 보내주시는 것 같다. 경기 할 때 많은 힘이 된다.
-Protoss fans seem to be feeling particularly united.
> Kang Min = We are feeling it too. There are many fans that support other races, but protoss fans seem to send especially passionate support. They are a great source of strength for tournaments.
-랭킹 1, 2위를 연파하는 괴력을 보였는데. 또 스카웃을 뽑는 등 여유도 보였다.
▶김택용=지금 가장 잘 나간다는 선수들을 꺾게 되어 기쁘다. 정찰을 꼼꼼하게 잘 할 수 있었던 것이 승리의 원동력이라고 본다. 평소에도 항상 이윤열 선수를 잘 하는 선수라고 생각해 왔다. 승리를 거둘 수 있어 기쁘다. 이윤열 선수와의 경기가 처음이라 많이 긴장했는데 맵 연구를 잘 해서 이윤열 선수의 스타일을 봉쇄할 수 있었던 것 같다.
- You have shown the incredible strength to defeat the upper rankings 1 and 2. Also, you showed over-the-margin class by making a scout.
> Kim Taek Yong = I’m glad that I could defeat the most elite considered progamers. Setting my attitude that I can do well is what I consider to be force behind my victory. Even on a daily basis, I’ve thought that Lee Yeon Yeoul is a great player. I’m glad I achieved victory. I became very anxious because this was my first tournament against Lee Yeon Yeoul, but I studied the map very well and so, I believe was able to contain Lee Yeon Yeoul’s style.
-MSL 결승 이후 마재윤과의 대결에서 다시 승리를 거뒀다.
▶김택용=마재윤은 항상 잘하는 선수라고 생각하고 있다. 센스나 컨트롤이나 운영 등 모든 면에서 뛰어난 선수다. 특히 큰 무대 경험이 많아서인지 긴장을 잘 하지 않는 것 같다. 언제 어디에서 만나도 어려운 상대다.
-After the MSL play offs, you faced off against Mah Jae Yoon and won again.
> Kim Taek Yong = Mah Jae Yoon is always a good player, in my opinion. Whether it’s senses or control or overall management, he’s gifted in every area. Especially, whether it’s because he has much stage experience, he doesn’t seem to get nervous on stage. Wherever you meet him, he is going to be a hard opponent.
-프로토스 선수들이 타 종족 선수들에 비해 많지 않다.
▶강 민=프로토스 선수들이 많지 않은 것이 사실이다. 그러나 프로토스가 어려울 때 마다 오영종이나 김택용같이 보석같은 선수들이 때를 맞춰 등장해 주는 것 같다. 최근 후배들의 플레이를 보면서 배울 것이 많다는 것을 느낀다.

> Kang Min = It’s true that there aren’t that many protoss players. Still, whenever protoss face difficulties, whether it’s with Oh Young Jong or Kim Taek Yong, it feels as if we are the gem in the rough that strike upon the moment on stage. I feel that there is much to learn from the recent younger generation.

Let me tell you a story about the protoss user.
the protoss user is cerebral. the protoss has no easy matchups. the protoss user walks a lonely road, the only one that he has ever known. the protoss user turns his face into the wind and walks with purpose. the protoss user is a snail, crawling, slithering, along the edge of a straight razor to victory, and surviving.
he does not try to bend the imbalanced ZvP matchup. that's impossible. instead, the protoss user must realize the truth: that there is no matchup. it is not the matchup that is imbalanced, only himself.
the protoss user must learn to bury the unfairness with anger. the protoss user must confront it and face the truth. the protoss user knows how to fight with 12 units, he must learn how to engage twelve hundred. the protoss user knows how to disappear, he must learn how to become truly invisible. the protoss user understands that invisibility is a matter of patience, and creativity. the protoss user always minds his surroundings.
the ordinary progamer is just a man, lost in the scramble for his own gratification. he can be defeated, destroyed. to win, the protoss user must become more than just a man. if he can convince himself of the truth--then he can become something else entirely: a legend.
