Lol, I'm really glad that there was absolutely no discussion of anything zerg-related being overpowered.
It's incredibly refreshing.

A little sad, but a nice change of pace

Edit:
Also, I wanted to mentioned the incredible cost-efficiency of widow mines. Thus far, only Life has seemed very adept at handling them, but his technical micro is unbelievable (i.e. a single ling to blow them up --- really really hard to consistently do with lings.) I'm not sure what could be replicated for lower-level players.

it is refreshing when z isn't overpowered - I 100% agree.

As the meta game develops in HoTS zerg is going to be at least the top 2 race if not the best race.

-Players are going to adjust to caster units later than dps units.
-Macro mechanics of zerg is complex and will need longer time to adjust to new units and their costs.

While Protoss is developing skytoss with their improved defensive capabilities, I fear Terran will never develop into anything but a high DPS race that completely depends on harassment.

Yes, they will develop into that once Terran get nerved :p


With or without the nerf, isn't it like that still?
It just feels like playing Terran is all about timing attacks.
Get on a tech path and hope to out micro/macro the opponent to death.
Terrans seem to always have to respond to a tech choice rather than dictate the tier 3 tech.
Tier 3 terran units seem to always be a response to a tier 3 tech choice of the opponent.
Maybe because tier 3 Terran units are... different.

This isn't a complaint on balance, I'm fine with being an aggressive race that needs to abuse the high DPS and mobility to win.
I would love the ability to create a late game win with without only relying on multitasking.
