Polt / TaeJa was my choice, but Rain is just frak'ing good.

DongRaeGu is now on a throne with no one standing beside him (Editor's note: Luckily for us, Stephano fans don't read GSL news) Ha, at least I do. No one is on the throne at the moment. DRG has not at all looked like a world beater and if he's the best zerg it makes me a bit sad for zerg, since his play of late is hardly inspiring. The title of best zerg in the world is up for grabs. My guess is that Life will be the next to seize it. Stephano also can take it, even without playing in a GSL. (Taeja earned the best in the world title (which he seems to have given up) through his performance in team leagues and foreign tournaments despite no deep runs in the GSL; there's no reason a foreigner should be denied that right, assuming he gets the results.)

I thought DRG's match in the OSL against marineking was very inspiring. Quite possibly my favorite DRG match of all time, due to strong showing of backstabs, flanks, ambushes and macro aggression. Of all the zergs right now, only stephano and leenock hold a candle to DRG's record. and once DRG wins the OSL in a few weeks, those candles won't even matter.

Polt played 3 MU and almost won that spot... Seems unfair to me.

I'd like to see DRG do better. There isn't a clear zerg "hero" at the moment -- someone you can (generally) count on to go deep in whatever tournament he enters, whatever the competition, whatever the matchup. DRG was that zerg. Not sure what's going on with him.

Rains best MU is PvZ (tlpd is inaccurate because he doesnt have as much games with PvT). Polt is also studying which IMO automatically gives full time players a huge advantage. Dont get me wrong, I love Polt because he always seems like happy and genuine guy who is always smiling, but at the end of the day, one can only put so much time into practise when you're studying. Rain deserves his win and I would only consider him lucky if he doesnt bump into any Protoss in the next 3 rounds as this is by far his worst match up.

The thing is, Polt is studying AND he has to prepare himself for 3 MU while Rain can rely on 1 MU on his way to the 1st/2nd place... It's an issue of the GSL pools I guess.

Still, the guy has just taken down Taeja, Byun, Polt, who are TvP specialists.... The thing is, Polt is studying AND he has to prepare himself for 3 MU while Rain can rely on 1 MU on his way to the 1st/2nd place... It's an issue of the GSL pools I guess. According to his TLPD, he is: PvT: 8-2 80% PvZ: 14-6 70% So they are both a bit low, but 20 games vs zerg is double his vs terran games. And I cant imagine him staying 80% vs Terran in 10 games time, I dont think any progamer has achieved that lol. However in his recent interview he did mention that lately he feels more comfortable facing Terran. So you're right, its probably a bit too early to tell what his strongest MU is, but for the moment, I think its safe to say that he is pretty strong in both.
