I don't know what happend though I think going so high in the GSL and then not being back up there can put a bit too high of an expectation on yourself.

I'm typically slow to jump on fan-dom bandwagons, but I can definitely remember actively believing and hoping that Jinro would be able to take home a trophy while watching him push through those early tournaments. I always found his play inspired, and I was a Jinro fan after a few games, in a way that none of the foreigners who have participated in GSL since have been able to capture me. I remember hearing about his near-qualification last year, and I was really excited. I hoped within another season or two we'd be able to see him back in a booth posting some results, even if he remained in Code A and couldn't replicate his early finishes. Jinro, I have nothing but respect for your decision to walk away from something that you simply aren't enjoying, in spite of the fact that the fan in me still wishes you had been able to stage an inspiring comeback, sweep into the GSL, and carry home the first foreign GSL trophy. Good luck to you, and I hope you stumble into something new and equally dream-inspiring.
