I really like your style of play, and I have never been so hype over Starcraft(or any other game for that matter) as I was when you were at your peak in GSL. You brought so exciting matches, and I actually shouted because of joy when you won(something very uncharacteristic of me). It was so fun watching you play. I wish you the best of luck in life and hope that you can find a new dream to persue. You will be missed.

And I was just getting over the final OSL. I don't give a shit what people say, to this date you're still the most successful foreigner in Starcraft 2.

![]() it was inspiring stuff at the time and it settled me on playing terran for a long time, seeing how anything seemed possible if you just stayed calm and played well. even though he hasnt posted big results for a long time i always checked liquipedia every mlg to see where jinro had placed, seeing him taking out strong players and only falling to people who would go on to reach pool play. i always felt like he was on the edge of becoming great again, just a small step away from people talking about how good his run was. if he had been playing from europe, attending smaller lans and weekly cups he would of seen much more 'fame' and money, and although i wanted to see him play more, and be rewarded, i respected his desire to stay in korea. korea is more than just the gsl or the practice or the food for starcraft. its a declaration that for you, improvement, skill, these are the things you value, not the 'easy' money of some tiny cup. jinro's perseverance in korea at all costs made me wish all the harder that he would break out of his shell and reach code s again. jinro always made it easy to cheer for him. emotional to a fault, you could see he really cared when he won or lost, and although hes said some silly things about balance ;p after losing a game or something you can still relate to his feelings. he isnt being mad for the drama or for the sake of it, hes just wearing his heart on his sleeve for all his viewers to see. so thank you jinro for everything youve done, and i hope that when hots rolls around you will once again feel the burning desire to compete, if only for a little while, so we all get to see you play some more : )

Though you still stand as one of the most impressive foreigners in the GSL. No small feat. You also should be congratulated for your rigorous adherence and determination to live in a Korean gaming house and follow through with it unlike any foreigner. Farewell Jinro and good luck in your endeavours.
