Was pretty disappointed, expected more behind the scenes stuff about the life of a progamer etc. Instead I got an hour and a half of Liquid players saying how awesome everyone of them could be if they trained harder.

![]() However, I wished they would have mixed a bit of old material in there, no matter the quality. Like someone filming a TL player winning his first tournament or something, however I am not sure if anything like this really exists / if they have acces to it. Apart from that I really loved it, a lot of personal insight to the entire team and sharing their approach to a Pro team was an awesome experience!

the story doesn't have an end guys, we're still living the story. and i didn't feel like it was about the SC, but about the team. likewise, i didn't think it was really supposed to be about the players/everyone else as people, but the players/everyone else as people on a team and how those people compose the team. i enjoyed it for what it was, which was a glimpse into what makes Team Liquid... Team Liquid. i don't have to know too much about whether this guy or that guy wet the bed as a kid, because i don't care too much about that. and i don't really need to see footage of their results, as i was usually there to watch the results as it happened. i'm interested in what makes the team a team, and in that sense, the documentary was a complete success. oh and TLO's answer to the question at the end was easily the best. i was waiting the whole time for someone to say that ![]() edit: http://www.gosugamers.net/starcraft2/features/2947 i cannot tell you how much i disagree with this review, or how curious i am as to who the writer of the review is and what his/her experience with film making and storytelling is.

I'm a RET fan and I feel like I discovered a new RET. On every other apparition he seemed to be a little shy and in this Documentary he doesn't at all, he's like Puff Diddy :D <3

I'm only making a point of this because another documentary I was interested in (on a seperate subject) did a similar campaign and barely got close to their goal. When you guys are involved, you not only help them reach the goal but exceed it entirely. ggwp

It didnt really seem to follow the storylines of the players, but was more a string of interviews asking each player about themselves and the others thrown together.

For any of you dislikers, it is totally free to watch and if you think about it, it hasn't actually got anything wrong with it. Most are just complaining "how it wasn't that much about that certain player etc", well it was Liquid Rising not "enter player name" rising. Great job Team Liquid and of course Michael Krukar!

And what's your experience with film making and storytelling? They certainly didn't tell a story in this documentary, even though the title 'Liquid Rising' seemed to suggest that it was going to follow a chronological order with tournament wins etc on the way. What parts do you disagree with? They make legitimate points. In my opinion, this documentary shouldn't have been a muddled set of interviews DESCRIBING moments, it should have been in chronological order, following story lines (TLO's beard, Hero winning DHS, GSL, Huk leaving) with footage where you can EXPERIENCE the moments with interviews of course mixed in. I don't understand why he would go to all the different countries to film footage, with whatever thousand hours overall, only to include 10 minutes of actual footage. It really seems like a massive waste of potential. I enjoyed the documentary (even if this post may indicate otherwise), I'm just frustrated that it wasn't as great as it could have been...
