A rival team who gets WAY more than their fair share of baseless abuse on these forums helping out with a documentary *shouldn't* help change peoples opinions on them? They aren't millionairres, 666 Euros is a lot for any organisation at this stage in e-sports. Don't be so negative. true dat. Definately a nice gesture. Why would anyone hate EG anyway? They all seem quite nice ![]()

I feel like such an awesome team full of awesome personalities could make for a really exciting documentary, this just wasn't, sadly.

And I find it extremely funny how everyone on this movie was saying that every single member would be a best players in the world only if they wanted to be lol. i must sadly admit that this is exactly how i felt about it too. has anyone of you seen the korean documentary about boxer? i expected something like seeing ingame footage, somebody winning, losing or at the very least documenting recent results in tournaments, interviews directly before/ after an important game or just anything that is not a 90 minute long interview :/ it was nice to see, but i didnt get hyped, i didnt get the impression TL was special and it lacked simple elements of a documentary like .. well.. a storyline?

I especially liked Ret's and HerO's parts. Very interesting, HerO is so shy and likeable it's actually silly. Not to mention the production is amazing. I don't know if it's because I, as opposed to a lot of people here, learnt a lot of stuff watching this, but I think some of the criticisms are a little too harsh... It's a good movie and I enjoyed it a lot. Too bad I don't even have a penny for myself, I sure would have donated :-) Go Liquid!

Victor and ret parts are fine but weak overall director needs to learn what imagination is its not only about handling a device in the right angle

I thought it was a very frank and honest look at the players on TL, which I appreciated. There were some really funny parts that made me laugh a lot more than most things I see on TV. That said, documentaries typically have an overriding narrative structure which wasn't present here, and I found that disappointing. Still, worth my time, and I'll be donating!

It would be so much more exciting if there was more footage of the daily lifes of the TL player's, more behind the scenes stuff. 80-90% of the movie was a sit-down interview, which gets really boring after 30m-1h watching I can get the same experience if I would copy paste all Hot_bid player interviews of TL players after eachother + some additional thoughts by Nazgul. Production wise its pretty good, but it lacks what makes for me to be intrigued.

The problem with doing a documentary based off results or the story line is that it becomes dated very quickly. Most of the stuff present in the film was from quite a while ago and the major win of Hero's at Dreamhack, while an amazing win in the history of esports doesn't seem quite as relevant when there was a Dreamhack like 2 weeks ago or w/e. I agree about the whole "just a bunch of interviews" i was really expecting something else as well. Apparently every one on the team is super nice and awesome and really talented and totally could be the best and will just you wait. Hence liquid rising i guess. We kinda already knew/assumed that stuff though (or the fans did at least). Perhaps this was made to be approachable for non-esports people? An easy introduction that showcases a cool bunch of guys that have a passion for the game and the team mentality in general. That would explain the lack of anything technical or really pertaining to starcraft 2. No talk of APM's, play styles, highlights from big games kind of showing that they are awesome at the game. Not just an interview with some people saying hes pretty good despite the lack of results. Yeah it was good i like hearing from the players but not what i was expecting. Next time you could staple maybe 7 or so of Hotbids interviews together with higher production values and release that.
