This just shouldn't have been advertised as a documentary. Its more of a bunch of interviews that that come out to be 1.5 hours long. I get that everyone on TL is nice and have a history and could be the best players in the world if they practiced. I have heared that hundreds of times already. This documentary should have SHOWN IT. Not just told it. That's where this documentary goes wrong.

Okay. first of all HUGE congrats on the video for the Whole TeamLiquid community.

Later in a post I will write down my opinions but first of all when I checked the contributions suddenly I started to drop tears. Really. I'm not joing. EVIL GENIUSES I didn't really liked you till now but YOU HAVE ALL MY RESPECT FOR A LIFE ! Regarding e-Sports, regarding your players, your staff EVERYTHING!!! Also RESPECT for Sundance from MLG and Huge respect for every other donator.

Thank your for this great moment when I have one of the hardest moments of my life!

I LOVE YOU STARCRAFT2 PLAYERS and E-sports figures!!!

Basically you're saying that you changed your opinion of EG because they donated 666 euros ? this is nothing for them they just want to gain more fanboys

What? A rival team who gets WAY more than their fair share of baseless abuse on these forums helping out with a documentary *shouldn't* help change peoples opinions on them? They aren't millionairres, 666 Euros is a lot for any organisation at this stage in e-sports. Don't be so negative.

true dat. Definately a nice gesture. Why would anyone hate EG anyway? They all seem quite nice

I've always been a huge fan of Sheth and TLO, so I really enjoyed the interviews with them. But even getting to know players like Haypro and Zenio was really interesting, great documentary!

I don't want to take anything away from the producers and directors, but I can't help but feel this was basically a bunch of interviews...

As many have said before me, I've gotta say this 'documentary' was kinda disappointing to me. After all the hype it got and all the waiting it didnt live up to my expectations at all. I expected more insight in the life of a liquid player and more awesome footage of them in real life. This was merely decent interviews stacked in a row. (I've seen better/funnier/more insightful interviews with all Liquid players except maybe the korean ones)

I feel like such an awesome team full of awesome personalities could make for a really exciting documentary, this just wasn't, sadly.

i think it was really a cool documentary but actually there was way more potential f.e. showing a pro gamers day some more cool stories instead of only talking about the players also some code s stuff with hero and some more joking like in the end but still cool thing

has anyone of you seen the korean documentary about boxer? i expected something like seeing ingame footage, somebody winning, losing or at the very least documenting recent results in tournaments, interviews directly before/ after an important game or just anything that is not a 90 minute long interview :/
it was nice to see, but i didnt get hyped, i didnt get the impression TL was special and it lacked simple elements of a documentary like .. well.. a storyline?

Besides the fact that this is indeed not a documentary but more of an in-depth team presentation I thought it was pretty cool, I didn't get bored at all and was waiting for the next player everytime.
I especially liked Ret's and HerO's parts. Very interesting, HerO is so shy and likeable it's actually silly.

Not to mention the production is amazing. I don't know if it's because I, as opposed to a lot of people here, learnt a lot of stuff watching this, but I think some of the criticisms are a little too harsh... It's a good movie and I enjoyed it a lot. Too bad I don't even have a penny for myself, I sure would have donated :-)

Go Liquid!

Victor and ret parts are fine

Ahahahahaha. I think the part after the credits might have been my favorite. :-)

I thought it was a very frank and honest look at the players on TL, which I appreciated. There were some really funny parts that made me laugh a lot more than most things I see on TV. That said, documentaries typically have an overriding narrative structure which wasn't present here, and I found that disappointing. Still, worth my time, and I'll be donating!

Pretty disappointed. It lacks a story line, kind of a flat experience, it's not going anywhere. Gets kinda boring after a while, there's nothing you're expecting to happen after 20mins in the film.

It would be so much more exciting if there was more footage of the daily lifes of the TL player's, more behind the scenes stuff. 80-90% of the movie was a sit-down interview, which gets really boring after 30m-1h watching

I can get the same experience if I would copy paste all Hot_bid player interviews of TL players after eachother + some additional thoughts by Nazgul.

Production wise its pretty good, but it lacks what makes for me to be intrigued.

What people need to remember is that this was never supposed to be a documentary about starcraft2, but about team-liquid. I loved the movie, I got to know the players better and hear about team-liquids expectations and hopes for the future aswell as its origins. And I really love that these people give it their all to help the community! So keep it up TL and Krukar!

The problem with doing a documentary based off results or the story line is that it becomes dated very quickly. Most of the stuff present in the film was from quite a while ago and the major win of Hero's at Dreamhack, while an amazing win in the history of esports doesn't seem quite as relevant when there was a Dreamhack like 2 weeks ago or w/e.

I agree about the whole "just a bunch of interviews" i was really expecting something else as well. Apparently every one on the team is super nice and awesome and really talented and totally could be the best and will just you wait. Hence liquid rising i guess.
We kinda already knew/assumed that stuff though (or the fans did at least). Perhaps this was made to be approachable for non-esports people? An easy introduction that showcases a cool bunch of guys that have a passion for the game and the team mentality in general. That would explain the lack of anything technical or really pertaining to starcraft 2. No talk of APM's, play styles, highlights from big games kind of showing that they are awesome at the game. Not just an interview with some people saying hes pretty good despite the lack of results.

Yeah it was good i like hearing from the players but not what i was expecting. Next time you could staple maybe 7 or so of Hotbids interviews together with higher production values and release that.
