I think it would have been a lot better if the player segments were re-arranged a bit. TLO's should have been the last IMO, with the shirt and all it would have made a perfect ending. It seemed to completely lose direction during the Zenio/Taeja and especially Huk parts. Not saying that they shouldn't have been included, but as an ending they were dull and anticlimactic.

That said for me personally as someone who sees TL as an internet "national team" of sorts, it was worth it for all the small stories that I didn't know about like TLO's shirt, Ret's reaction to DH performance, Sheth's id change for SC2, etc.

I enjoyed watching it as a fan, but from a film standpoint, that wasn't a great documentary. It didn't really have any information that would be useful for a non-starcraft/TL fan, and it didn't have very much new or interesting information on TL or the players either for those of us who follow the scene. Production value wasn't poor, but there wasn't any real visual interest and the music chosen was pretty cheesy. I would rather have seen an "outsider's" perspective on TL and the SC2 scene in general, and sort of an artistic take on what it means to be a progamer. I would like to see some depth I guess. As it is, it was just a bunch of interviews with TL guys. We see those all the time, bring us something new :/ As far as documentaries go, it doesn't have a lot of value. As far as TL propaganda goes, it's not that great either. I can only really see this being important to someone who is new to the scene, but already an interested part of it, who wants a quick refresher course on Team Liquid.

i feel like i can echo this alot.

i enjoyed the movie, but as someone seriously follows starcraft, there wasnt much here. the story of TLO getting his handle was great as well the Hotbid slapping story. but Fishuu's art made up a good portion of that as well. but other than that, not much. in truth, i enjoyed listening to Nazghoul talk the most because it was new and insightful, and coming from someone we dont actually hear talk ever.

the four main things i took away from this;

1: Nazghoul is probably the most interesting and underrated person in e-sports

2: This movie reminded why i enjoyed TL as a team, and forgot about the growing shortcomings of the community

3: Hero talks painfully slow. seriously one line of subtitles would take 15-20 seconds. i wanted to just fast forward ahead everytime he came on because i would read the subtitles before his face would appear on screen half the time.

4: just dont really like TLO

overall, a good movie, but i doubt i need to watch it again.

Did I read number 4 right? How could anyone NOT like TLO. He's probably the most likeable person in E-sports!

Edit: Aside from Day9 of course.

i dunno, just something about him strikes me as insanely snobbish. just cant get around it.

like, it was cool when he was talking about his childhood, but when he talks about other teams and stuff. just dont like it. reminds me of a child who has it good but doesnt exactly know how the world works.

i dunno, it seems kinda irrational, but thats just the vibe i get.

Amazing documentary. Cracked up at the end with the 2 options and TLO's "I can always win MLG Providence next year."

That was an amazing documentary.

I was close to tears soooo many times. Closest was when Sheth explained how he came up with his name x.x Oh god. ♥

Seriously, excellent job.

Just finished watching, it was pretty awesome. I just kinda realized why people (me included) love TL so much. You can really identify with many if not all of the members personality wise. It was one of the few things I've watched without being distracted,

I kinda wish there was more content in the video aside from interviews, but I've enjoyed it nonetheless and it was one of the few things I've watched without being distracted, which is a difficult thing for me. It was definitely worth what I paid. Liquid fighting!

Really enjoyed watching it, I hope to see more things like that come out of the e-Sports scene. Made a small donation cause frankly, despite some of the shortcomings that have been pointed out in some of the previous posts, I had a way better time watching this documentary than I have watching most of the crap that gets pumped at 'a theatre near you' on a weekly basis. I will be keeping an eye out for your next project!

Personal opinion. I thought it was a pretty entertaining documentary as a Liquid fan. However, from just a technical stance, it feels like a poor documentary, as the viewer is expected to know more about what is being shown than the show explains. It doesn't follow any particular story, and this just makes it boring. In my opinion you should have focused on a single story aspect, and how the team interacts about it. Cinematic wise its solid, but the audio direction is awful.

On the other hand, As a Liquid documentary, It doesn't answer anything I didn't already know about the team. It hardly asks any meaningful or hard hitting questions, for example Tyler's depression, Hero's past, Jinro's dropping out of highschool for Starcraft at a time when Starcraft wasn't even a thing, Nazgul and his history with poker etc. etc. It didn't really expand on anything about the players and their stories that you couldn't find anywhere else. As a documentary, You would atleast expect it to be more meaningful or intimate than any random interview. It feels like I'm watching a promotional reel.

Anyways I'm bordering wall of text here so I'll cut it short. Most of it was probably my expectations being too high. I found it entertaining though through the stories and such so I guess that's what counts.
