I am not here to flame you, but i am here to tell you that i am not going to be your fan anymore, i dont know if that is important to you, but let me tell you what it is...I am not going to wake up early to watch your stream, i am not going to watch MLG, i am not going to support SC2 anymore, since you and liquid was the only reason i am still here.
you leaving Liquid, a team that took you in while you still though that mothership builds was good and cute, and then leave them when you are the best player and get good results. This is in my eyes a betrayal in a degreed like few. EG is a fine team, but the value that liquid require is so high and that is the reason why people still watch them, even thou they still need to prove themself as the best team.
your the E-sport Puma, the basketball Le Bron James, the soccer Sol campel and so on...
I hope in my heart that you cant stay at oGs/liquid house in Korea, since you have no reason to stay there, you are no longer apart of the team and I hope you will regret this move and never come back.
I am so made and sad about this news, if you guys had posted this I would had payed some of the pay for HuK and so would EVERYONE here, because we are a family and we want to stay together ...but you dont want to and that is a shame.
this is my first post and most likely the only post that I ever write at liquid. That is how I feel. I am made and sad and I dont know how to tell how I feel...I dont want you back, since you dont fit in. I am full of shame because I been a fan since beta and watching you and felt like you were a good and loyal guy.
I cant believe you take money over personally. That is bad personality. Think about how the team feel about loosing the ace player, damn, I was rooting for you to get at Blizzcon so I would had had another reason to watch on the stream.
Last, I am so disappointed that I as a fan after a year get four lines "A HUGE thanks to my fans, I give so much to try to do as much as I can for you guys and you guys return that 10x every time... I dont think there are any more die-hard fans then HuK fans, when i look at your art, blogs, pics, tweets, gifts, candy, etc. EVERYTHING, it makes me so happy to know that people are there to help me along the way and really do appreciate me as a player."
you have Nazgul and Team EG to write a long and "its okay" letter...damn I am a shame that I ever watch you.
Once apon a time your fan David from Denmark
I am sorry that i am 14 years old and dont know how to spell prober, but i am going to share my mind and the feelings i have how this...
narcissistic? no I dont think so, since it is about HuK and not me...I use a lot of time watching a couple of players and he was one of them and on a team that only chose special people. that is why i am i am angry, i am sure that liquid as Nazgul writes, that liquid made a good offer.

anyway i don't understand some of his so-called fans... if you like him, you like him. it's not like because he changed team you won't be his fan anymore.
my favorite player is marineking. i like prime, but if he went to IM, ST, TSL or whatever I'd still be his n.1 fan because i love him as a player, not because the team behind him.
if you supported huk before and will root against him now, you are not really huk's fan but rather some pathethic team liquid fanboy.
huk is not in my top5 favorite players but i really like the guy because of his hard practice regime so i wish him best of luck and i do hope he reaches his goals.
Have you never heard of people rooting for a team? Where I'm from, football (soccer to you americans) is a very popular sport. I don't know the name of a single player in my favourite team, but I still root for the team, and if I happen to watch a game on TV I'll cheer for them. I'm obviously not that much of a hardcore fan, but it's not like it's impossible to root for a team first and players second. I think alot of people are rooting for liquid as well because they've got the nicest players, and we're right now reading team f*cking liquid and alot of us spend alot of time here. It's not hard to feel involved with them, compared to other teams.
If you say you no longer cheer for your favourite team because a player left you'd probably get raped and murdered in London
You're wrong. You are not having a basic paper pushing job for "somewhere close" to $100,000 a year. 30-50k? Maybe. 50k is on the VERY high end of that.
After a achieving a professional designation, your average salary for a Chartered Accountant is just under 6 figures. I should know since I am in the industry.
Professional Chartered Accountant = Just getting a regular old paper pushing job for 100k? Think your wording was misleading.
HuK spent 1 year perfecting his game. Professional Chartered Accounting designation takes like 2 years. Lets put the rest of HuK's "Other" gaming experience and clump it down to 1 year of experience... Therefore, if he worked just as hard at becoming a paper pusher, he'd make 100k right now wouldn't he?
Not only that, he's #1 right now as opposed to a paper pushing job where he'd make 100k at the middle of his tier.
So lets say he tried really hard and did really good.. 150K - 200k is what he should expect if hes one of the brightest paper pushers that exist.
Except we're not looking at paper pushers, we're talking about SC2 progamers in NA. As one of the top NA players, he should be making money at the top NA level. Whether or not it's in the 150k-200k range has nothing to do with how much he would make as a paper pusher.
So 150k to 200k would be less than what he SHOULD be making... since Grubby and Moon both made 7 figures in wc3...?
WC3 =/= SC2. EU/KR =/= NA.
What HuK should be making, based on accomplishments, publicity, and marketability, is about as much as or a bit more than w-e IdrA is making with EG right now.
OH WAIT........... thats about 150-200k...
Do you have where IdrA talks about what he makes? And take a look at the line of reasoning. "Professional paper pushers make 150k a year so HuK should make the same" doesn't make much sense. "IdrA makes 150k a year and HuK is just as good and on same team so he should also make 150k a year" actually does.
i cant tell you where its from, but i know idra did say that he could live very comfortably off his EG salary. it might have been on sotg, but im unsure, and no im not trolling. but ya who knows what "comfortable" is to idra.
That's what I mean, he's said he can live comfortably on his EG salary =/= I make 150-200k USD a year. If IdrA is like 90% of people in his spending habits (and I haven't seen anything to say otherwise), even a high 5 figure salary would be pretty comfortable since he's been sharing an apartment in Korea (if I remember correctly) and was doing so again back in the states with Machine. It's not like he was living the high life.
I might not be the biggest fan, but seeing HuK leave Liquid still makes me very sad... And seeing/reading these Shoutouts makes everything so real. Its not just like any other Team changes, this goesmuch deeper
Despite some of the...um.....over the top? sentiments here, the real "Huk" fans are here to support you man. You did great things for TL and I am sure you will do great things for EG. I really do hope that EG can secure a training house with similar talent in Korea for you. I know that you will understand the need for financial security is not a decisions to be anxious about. Most of us working professionals, at some point in another, leave a place we feel really comfortable, for a place where we feel we can prosper off our hard work.
You make an adult decision, in a good and timely manner. I know you will do great and do not forget, even though you are not living in the house, your friends are ALWAYS your friends.
P.S. Now that Idra will be in Korea again, Huk, you REALLY need to go on the next episode of IMBALANCED and talk about the Infestor.........MAKE IT SO!

When he has options, why would he take the lower paid one? He's not ditching the fans, just changing teams. Sorry but your post is completely ignorant and single minded
HuK making the right move here for his career and his well being. While it is hard to leave a family behind, I don't think he is REALLY doing that. Of course team rivalries will come into play at major events with Liquid` and EG, such as MLG, IEM, and the likes, but I don't think that if HuK wants to talk or practice with Dario, Hayder, or anyone else from Liquid`, he will be denied. Very simple that he is getting 150k+/year salary, maintains ties with old team--no hard feelings. The only major thing I can really see him losing is the practice partners of oGs. Just my 2cent ^^
I gotta admit, I teared up quite a few times while reading this article. It is sad to see HuK leave Team Liquid. HuK is a very influential player/figure in the community, and being on TL gave him such a solid platform to help the community. I am glad to hear that his time with TL was very positive though, and glad to know his heart is so strong.
I wish him the very best in his career, and I hope to see great things from HuK. May he continue to be a positive influence in the community and always hold dear his friends and family as he strives for the top!
Best of luck, Chris. I look forward to seeing your games!
Gl Huk, hope you do well, and GL to EG and Liquid. Liquid will have to do without Huk, and EG will have to do with (and from what I read in this post he can be a pain at times ^^). Will be interesting to see how both teams and Huk individually move on from this!

What!?!?!?!?!??! a lot of sports players choose to join a club that dont pay as much but has the right values. HuK writes that he is afraid that he took money over personality
Huk, there was a time where I didnt even know what a build order was. I downloaded a bunch of your games and learned a lot. Starting from then, you have become my favorite player and will continue to be so. I know people say that you shouldn't do things for the money, but that phrase just seems so greedy because we know that it's not necessarily about acquiring more money. It's about the comfort that comes with it. I'm sure now you'll have the funds and the means to visit your family and friends more. You've been a great inspiration. If you stay the way are, no matter which team your on, it will show great maturity and I will respect you even more.
As for Liquid, you guys are heroes as well. This is hard, but I know that there's more than enough talent on Liquid, that the team and organization can one day grow to rival EG.
