Seriously though - MLG needs to pat themselves on the back for one of the best turnarounds since Dallas i have ever seen.

I hope they don't drop the ball and Anaheim proves to be even better (more chairs?)

Awesome write up! Gotta agree, MLG Columbus blew my mind in terms of presentation and the entertainment value of the games played. Great storylines too haha. Hope Anaheim is even better!

I found the analysis of MMA's drop play to be the best part of the article. The comparison to (T)

Fantasy's Vulture harass was quite intriguing. MMA blew me away several months ago when he mauled Liquid'Ret with his signature drop harass, and he continues to blow me away with that same style of play. He makes SC2 so much more interesting and crushes nerds along the way, and it's exciting to see him at the cutting edge of the game's tactics.

I too loved the Moon series =) as a Wc3 player I have enormous respect for him but he hasn't really impressed me before this. However I got the feeling that I saw some of his former glory in the games vs Kiwikaki...

Lovely article. This was the first MLG i "followed" (Sweden's time-zone makes most of it go on at night

An excellent write-up. I totally agree with the parallels between MMA and Fantasy. The similarities are pretty uncanny.

Watching MLG gives me hope that the competition and standard of play in SC2 will get better and more exciting. ^^

I'm not used to post on MLG website so I'll do it here and hope they get feedback from TL threads too : it was a great event, xxxxx times better than Dallas, everything -seen from here - seemed to run perfect, so congrats to everyone who participated to organize this, amazing event to spectate.
One tiny thing I'd change (since one has to split hairs) : since the timing for the match broadcast is a bit hard to follow from here (Europe) unless you wanna stay up till the middle of the night, it would be great if VODs of the (best) matches could be put on youtube or some a couple of hours after they've been played so we can catch up the morning after....don't know if MLG usually releases VODs for free but if they do and can do it "live", we'd be getting close to perfection !

Beautiful write-up, thank you so much. I went to sleep right after MMA won because I'd been up all night and it was 10AM here, so I hadn't seen the interview where the fans started cheering MMA's name. Made me a little emotional, such a great reception. I'm really glad that the crowd was so positive -- I wonder if that many people follow GSL and knew the players, or if they just got into them during MLG.

Also loved the pic of HotBid trying to troll the satellite truck :-p
