First of all I tend to think it's the 3rd gas that really matters for Zerg; lings on one base, mutas on two, Hive on three. Of course, bases 4 & 5 are important when we get to the mid-game -> late-game transition. Still, I think what you're overlooking is that Zerg will probably take the third base in a corner (similar to SCR or HBR in this regard) once muta/lurker are out. Let's say that Zerg is on the top left: if he goes to the bottom left then as long as he's got decent map control that's a nuisance to assault and a fourth base along the side sort of just "fills in" the gap. If he take the top right, the island expansion is pretty much ridiculously safe and the 5th/6th bases will be on the middle-right plateau. Honestly just looking at the map I'm more worried about PvZ because I feel like a forge FE will be a weak sim-city here and thus very vulnerable. Meh.
