I really look forward to seeing these awards given out at the end of each season because it brings back all the memories of the season I'd forgotten about in the Ro64 through 16. Great write up!! <3

Every foreigner is eligible. Both Idra and Loner got to the Ro16. I guess you could say 1-2 1-2 0-2 to boxer is better than Idra's 2-0 2-0 0-2 to Zenio, but it's arguable.

Actually completely my bad I had it in my head that Loner got to the Ro8 for some reason. Both had less than great opposition and then lost to good players. I suppose since Idra had a better record he does indeed deserve the Giyom award.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the finals with bros and getting overly drunk due to Artosis cheating on our drinking game, but Nestea winning is just such a downer. In my opinion at least he's just such a boring player, his play is great but pretty much completely unremarkable, he gives the same boring "its for the fans" answers that I'm so sick of, and besides his matches against Foxer, almost all his games lacked excitement.

I mean sure I've been converted into a Foxer fanboy, but still, even if he was against someone else I'd still think he's a boring player. Also people saying he's so much better than Fruit are silly, Foxer vs Fruit was super close down to the wire, Foxer vs Nestea was super close down to the wire, you can't really make assumptions based off that.

I'm happy to see NesTea actually have a win at his age. I hear stories about how many Starcraft 1 teams hardly accept anyone older than maybe 25+ - NesTea played well, deserved his win for holding off what the first GSL1 champion could not do.

Hopefully MarineKingPrime changes up his strategy more next GSL.
