No one really knew how to play terran back then + terran was weaker while zerg and protoss were stronger.
No one believed reapers would be used as much.
There was quite big outcry from terran users about balance, Strelok even demanded from blizz that banelings should be nerfed. Funny thing is the next patch they were buffed

Terran got a bunch of buffs, which Protoss and Zerg got nerfed heaps (remember 1 supply roaches?).

I remember playing in the Beta and rolling over Terrans with baneling/roaches.

I think NexGenius should've gotten the Pokju award (worst player) because DAVIT crushed him in under ten minutes. Not scouting double cheese is baaaad. Then DAVIT got steamrolled 2-0 the next round. Maybe that match was also the upset of the tournament (Effort award), since NexGenius recovered to win the Blizzcon qualifier.
