[TSL] Idra vs Nony - State of the Union

Washington (TL) -- According to latest reports from the Pentagon, America is now at war. While negotiations between Commander-in-Chief of Terran forces in the North, Greg "Idra" Fields and Protoss Executor of the South, Tyler "Nony" Wasieleski have been going on for weeks, our defence correspondent HnR)Insane now reports that discussions reached a stalemate early this morning and that both parties have stated that they have no choice but to resort to military action.
Although rumours of war have been afoot for weeks now, this sudden call to arms was certainly a shock to many. While Internet forums ran stories on the apparent conflict as early as yesterday, it was only a few hours ago that Executor Nony himself issued a statement from the Protoss fleet's headquarters in San Antonio, Texas.
"The Terrans would like you to believe that actual negotiations took place. This is false information. The Protoss do not negotiate. We eradicate, and we're here to rid this nation of redneck scum. Make no mistake - this is war. "
"Issuing statements, a very useful skill toi have," was how the Terran press conference began in New Jersey, just minutes after Nony's statement. Speaking from the Dominion headquarters, Commander Idra assured the world that the Protoss threat would not go unmet.
"The Terran Dominion does not delight in the use of force. Yet, when faced with cheesy bulldog builds and the inherent unfairness of the 12nex, we have no choice but to bring out the 2facs. The South has resisted all diplomatic measures and must face our wrath. Siege tanks are being deployed as we speak."
Our reporters on the ground at the Terran tactical support headquarters in Seoul, Korea say that troop movement has been heavy for the past forty-eight hours and that scores of dropships have been in and out of the base, ferrying forces to the front lines. Although it is too early to tell, it does appear that the Dominion does have an advantage in terms of pre-planning and overall readiness. "This force has been on a war footing for well over two years," says Artosis, a Military Analyst who will be on the scene when the first shots are fired this Saturday. "Commander Idra has been anticipating this threat for a while now, and is no doubt ready and eager to deploy his forces. Although Executor Nony can by no means be ruled out, I have to give the edge to the Terrans in this encounter."
Protoss preparations for this battle, on the other hand, have been done in secrecy. While their psi powers have long made them an elusive race, not even a whiff of Executor Nony's battle plans have emerged from San Antonio during the past few weeks, a sure sign that extreme precautions were being taken to keep them under wraps. As the weekend approaches, rumours of well thought out plans circulate like wildfire, with every armchair analyst having something to say about the Protoss race's chances. When contacted for comment, a Protoss spokesperson had nothing to say except, "the South will rise again."
This battle, of course, is for more than just honour. While the victor will gain possession of the land they now stand on, the loser will be forced to take to the skies and duke it out for survival. The stakes are high, the lines are drawn, and in a few short hours America will be at war.

Quite a few lucky breaks for Idra on that last game (especially that SCV transfer), but he played really well through the entire series.
It's really obvious that he's improved quite a bit...especially in decision-making skills and timing. I'll be looking forward to see if anyone can stand a chance in the RO16.

In game 4 the SCV transfer timing helped IdrA a lot,i think NonY could have denied 3rd easily if all the workers weren´t in front of the tanks, that and loosing the shuttle with HTs to 1 goliath (that was poor control by nony). IdrA played very well and he played his style.
I´m looking forward to see nony play in this TSL, he is back again!

He lost 1-2 in the Ro16 to   White-Ra.
iirc there were a lot of high expectations for him (maybe too high considering he wasn't in Korea for very long at that point, along with the difficulties we've since found out that he had while at eSTRO), and he was considered a big contender for the title, but not the clear favorite like he will be for this TSL.
