Math man. So I literally JUST learned the history behind how numerals and shit came to be in preparation for this game. Fucking can you imagine how strong Greek wrists had to be? And they were like, redipping pens and shit, picking up the paper and waving it back and forth to dry that shit. No wonder everyone was walking around all stacked and statuesque.

Which point? I've made several.

My town role doesn't have a faction. It has a seemingly anti town win condition that's selfish but I win with town. No mention of any faction.

Fact he is different to me is odd/scummy.

He talked about there being at least 3 factions. That tells me his PM is either mafia or 3P.

If he was town he has no real way to think that the "faction" he is is the only faction or one of multiple. He can only know if he's not town.

Coupled with the fact he seems to be changing what he originally said the more people reveal about their roles it looks really scummy.

I also wanna briefly comment on VE since I've seen him brought up a few times: back when I played frequently VE was pretty popular D1 lynchbait. Now obviously its been 6 or 7 years but right now I've got a very slight meta townread on him.

Quickly so I can move on. Doing Palmar and will probably take a sec because he's got a case and I look at his cases out of respeck. RESPECK!

His filter reads pretty poorly. He had very little input D1, and the bulk of his activity is arguing with Palmar wrt his Damdred case. Softly shat on the MZ wagon and threw his vote away on Palmar. High mafia probability.

I’m not up on my Mocsta meta so I’m just going to give my feels about Mocsta and someone more readily familiar can check my work. He’s doing this thing that I seem to recall being NAI, where he acts super sure of himself and his reads regardless of actual level of certainty. It feels townie to me, as it feels like a way to push people off-balance and get their emotions up, something I don’t readily associate with Mocsta’s mafia play.

This post gives me pause, however, in which he agrees with on the current vote leader but votes in favor of another wagon. In his favor is the fact that he’s pretty open about the fact that he considers both to be crapshoots, and not liking FF, the other viable wagon.

Overall I think he’s town, but like I said, someone who is more familiar with Mocsta’s meta should look and see if there’s anything I missed or was mistaken about.

Palmar:

Opens with /decent/ reasoning wrt Damdred’s role speculation, and focuses on it to exclusion. In fairness, Damdred gave him nothing really else to base it upon.

The crux of his argument appears to be that as town Damdred has no reason to discuss his role mechanics, therefor that makes him mafia trying to appear town (presumably with a fake claim? or with his own real mafia role?)

Generally speaking I find his reasoning to be flawed in that he’s saying there is only this one way to behave as a townie, and failing that he’s mafia. This is almost always my exception with Palmar’s early reads - unless there’s meta analysis (which later on there is, we’ll get there) Palmar almost always expects townies to act the way he’d act, and they almost never do. It results in him thinking literally everyone is stupid.

It doesn’t get him ZERO results, but it’s hit or miss and he knows it.

the "Good Roles" the mafia could "recruit" seem to have caveats - i.e., they get a KP role but that KP role is removed once their SECONDARY win-con is fulfilled. It looks like it's the same with the non KP roles, they seem to have alternate win-cons to make them less appealing to the mafia team for recruiting. Why recruit someone who will just win on their own and leave the game?

Are we sure recruiting is a thing? Like, is this based on the whole "appears to be growing" thing? I think I missed something big that PROVES a recruiter. People seem to be talking about it like it's a given.

I'm PRETTY sure the way this all works is that the QTs were supposed to be way more of a thing in this game rather than everything play out in the thread, and town was supposed to do all the collab shit in the QTs. I think there's probably a mathematician that's town and mafia in both factions, and I think both the messengers are town due to the design. The recruiters are probably both town. There's probably one each of town/mafia inside of X/Y in the messenger mechanic...meaning like, HF or the other guy. I think the mafia is probably the other guy, as HF says.

Based on the wagons, I think I'm most secure between a Mig/Kelsier lynch.

I'm trying to do the maths, but it seems like pushing to take X number of players out of the game after so many town deaths seems anti-town. Granted, Mig came in and made a show of struggling with the decision, but I think ultimately he intended to do it this phase once the opportunity came.

It makes sense, because it's ultimately an anti-town mechanic, removing X number of players. Mafia can have a part in pseudo CONTROLLING when it happens, but only at the expense of one of their own.

It's actually a really interesting mechanic if it works that way. If we're all town it doesn't make any fucking sense and we should have never fucked with it.

I think between the two I prefer a Sent vote - Vivax is in that spot that Mig was in D1 for me where I can KINDA see him trying to figure shit out if I look at it right, but nothing super overtly townie jumps out. I get a skating mafia vibe from Sent.

With regard to Kels role, it feels mafia-flavored to me. Consider - mafia presumably knew that Grack was converted, and the following day Grack was unable to receive votes. Kels claims his actions was based on YOLO, which taken with everything seems bad.

However I've also filtered Vivax. From early on Vivax was trying to lynch Kels, so I think I wanna take him off the table tomorrow. He had him in sights D1 and was waffley on him D2, but careful to leave him on the table. My own reservations about his role aside, I think lynching Kels tomorrow a bad idea.

Conversely, his most recent reads post pretty heavily downplays a Sentinel lynch as "policy" and "lynch-baity".

Based on Vivax filter I think I'd like a Sent lynch tomorrow the mostest.
