I'm still behind on the game, we started on a weekend.
I also very often randomly assign some mafias townreads for like stupid little things so don't just lynch up my list but still.
I think I have a grasp of the game.

Yes, of course.
Vigis need to shoot into the trash, because the trash will not become more readable as the game goes on. The same reason you take out trash with the Day 1 lynch.
It is greatly advantageous to town if every player in the game is talking and interacting.
Now, on day 2 there might be information based on night actions and flips so far, so that's when you should start thinking about lynching higher activity mafia if we have good cases or evidence. Defaulting to lynching a lurker on day 2 is fine, but it's not like day 1 with no information. You should be trying to lynch scum wherever you can find it on day 2.

Look i am going to explain why Damdred is almost never mafia. Damdred has the same role i do 100%, except that he is hindu/arab and i am roman. both hindu/arabs and romans have a recruiter who needs to recruit mathematicians from their "side" in order to fulfill their secondary wincondition (the recruited people win too in case they become council). Hindu/arab recruiter is confirmed LS, and Damdred + Eywa (+Grackaroni) have claimed to be hindu/arab mathematicians.
Now let's assume Damdred is mafia. In case LS gets all the people recruited they win the game. Now they are in a qt (read LS' posts) so if Damdred is mafia, and they know on night X they are gonna get the last person recruited, why doesn't Damdred (or any of them who is or would be mafia) just out his whole scumteam 1 second before the night ends? Sounds like a legit Artanis balanced game??? I say hell no. Saying if someone or a group of people fulfill their wincon they do not leave the game is just even more retarded than thinking the above could be true. Which is why LS is either full of shit or is trying to (do a shitty job of) trying to back off his claim -- probably the latter.
MZ's role and my claim basically confirm this to be true. The thing is though that LS claims he needs to recruit only 2 people so unless LS is lying one of Damdred, Eywa and Grack has to be lying. This doesn't matter rn because Roman assassin (equivalent to MZ) will kill LS tonight and we will see for sure if LS is lying or not. If LS is telling the truth then i'd say Eywa is 100% town, Damdred 90% town and Grack whose claim i find out to be the shadiest 10%.
I agree Sentinel and Vivax are probably mafia. Vivax and Mocsta have been talking about each other (scumreading each other) in a way that seems like a double soft bus rather than them actually thinking the other person is mafia because while both scumread each other they don't actually ever argue about anything with each other (see on the contrary for example me vs ewya yesterday).

So here is some food for thought mafia:
Roman assassin will shoot LS because if they do so they win, so why wouldn't they? They are town and you probably know that so that's 1 less townie for you to handle.
I am suggesting you shoot Damdred or (and if you have more than 1 kp) Eywa. Then me and a couple of other people will leave the game too and that's three more people for you to handle.  If that doesn't happen, then you just get rid of Grackaroni next night and it's guaranteed Roman "pact" will get out of the game.
If you are not going to do that i suggest you shoot me because i will try my hardest to fucking lynch you unless i see Damdred and Ewya dead starting D2. If you shoot a fellow roman person i will try my hardest to fucking lynch you. So ball's in your court, help me and my friends and help you at the same time or get to deal with more angry townies.

I disagree. I'm keeping things very simple this game and mocsta is just acting anti-town or scummy. Same with eywa - anti-town people just go down as scum in my book because what's the difference until they've flipped?
