The fact that he's not being transparent about what he's doing, there are inconsistencies in his play that he refuses to address. These two factors combined with sets a huge shadow on his play of trying to lead the town for a cooperative effort, I'm not going to follow anyone as shady as he is currently being and no-one else should either.
If he fixes and addresses the aforementioned points, explaining more in-depth some of his reasons, I wouldn't mind. But that's clearly not what he's doing, he's avoiding the issue by calling me scum.

Shovel Knight I can understand your PoV, as it's a KP that hides a flip until the owner is killed. I figured that if I don't get the other roles that are more town-favoured which I'm aiming for, I can at least get a KP to kill mafia with when thickheads won't listen.
Mirror Man is pretty awesome? It can be used as a medic on a townie being shot, or as KP on mafia with some shenanigans or if mafia is protecting themselves. A lot of other possible uses as well, redirects while being chaotic, especially with the invertion can lead into some pretty nice plays. Harder for mafia to use in my opinion, due to requiring a pick target and reflecting everything on yourself. (Worst case scenarios you get yourself killed, not something mafia wants)
Windrunner is something that I see extremely town-favoured?
I can mason two seemingly town players and act as their bodyguard. Or if we find out I made a bad choice and one of them might be mafia, we can get them killed without me taking damage by correct usage of windrun.
So... what's the issue with my suggestion? If I'd have 4 blocks instead of 3 (I assume it's rounded down to 3/7 instead of 4/7 roles blocked), then I'd be fine with taking shovel knight out of there.

Keir, you wanted 1,1 which means every single pick in the game is partially dependant on yours. By withholding information you're way more likely to screw town over than gain any benefit over scum.

He is also allowed to grab a KP role if he feels like it. A good suggestion for a role for him is the knight artorias thing which is a very strong mafia role.

I also love his introductory chapter, it's completely written from the perspective of "anyone trying to go against me is obviously scum", when that is certainly not true.
The most unbelievable part is this sentence: "Mafia will disrupt my plans, not because they think that's good for their team, although of course it is, but mostly because they think "that's what a good townie would do"."
No mafia or even townie believes that bull. There's no way in hell a single person in this game honestly believes that intentionally disrupting is pro-town, with the only exception being if you believe the one trying to assume the town leader position to be scum.
I do mostly agree the part with post counts, except that you shouldn't expect the whole team to play similarly. With 4 mafia players for each of the teams, they're more than likely to fill out different playstyles/roles.
As for what he's suggesting me to pick, I'll decide in the upcoming hours. I know he isn't getting me lynched anyway so I'm not concerned about that at all.
Also surprised he's not suggesting anyone to counterpick Hero or PSY?
I have to admit I like the idea of going dreamflower and just shooting mafia in succession. (Or failing and committing seppuku.)

A lot of the points I raised are extremely valid, yet you are ignoring them because you're tunneling me as scum, if it's because you've suddenly become terrible at mafia or simply because it's the easiest way for you to try and deal with me if you're scum, that I'm not sure of. Leaning more and more towards you being mafia simply since you refuse to address the points I raise when fixing them up is clearly the pro-town thing to do and is what you should be doing.
If you want to be a town leader, then suck it up and take the criticism. Just because you're trying to assume a leader position doesn't mean you get to decide everything you want. If you're pro-town, you should be concerned and fixing the issues pointed out at you.
I'm not raising these points because I want to be a dick or claim that your play sucks, but because those are the things that need to be addressed. If you want brownie points for every thing that was done properly as one going for the position you currently are, you'll have to find them somewhere else.
So again, repeating these:
1) Why are you wanting to give someone you suspect a veteran status?
2) Explain why you're not locking one of your scumreads into the City Councilman, and instead assigning it to a player who you don't have pegged as either way, and you talk coming from the perspective "at least this way if he's town he'll get killed"?
3) Doctor role to someone you're not sure of?
4) No counterpicks for roles like Hero or PSY?
Address the above please. It's not that hard.

If you pick the same thing someone else already picked, you get one of the Mysterious Challenger roles, which effectively forces you into a "special" role.

Alright, I admit I like your stance/approach to killing mafia players via lynching. I suppose vet/doc roles on mafia isn't going to help them much (except from crossfire from other mafia) if the town hasn't drafted much KP either. And I suppose if I go for dreamflower it sort of works in favour of that as well, given that if my shot doesn't go off and I live, we can be certain that a protective role is in mafia hands.
I guess I could really go for dreamflower, the only downside I can see is if I play badly it's less scum dead, +1 townie dead and I won't be around to help town lategame. Would prefer a less gambly-role but I guess I might have to just nail scum on D1 then. Still thinking about whether to go for it or not.
If I don't, what other role would you prefer for me to take?
