Well we can not stop people from posting / PMing by ourselves. And RB's actions are super distracting, at first I was ignoring him but now I'm sick of it. In addition to the nonstop trolling and spamming, he almost ruined a game he cohosted and he almost ruined a game he played in. | ||

Slightly different but also if he's sending unwanted PM's the only recourse they have really is to contact a gm or to talk with him to get it to stop. I sort of wish bh or someone else who played mafia kind of halfway had power to forum ban in these situations but just how it is. | ||

So, Race Bannon is getting a 5 game ban. Furthermore, should he sit out 5 games, I will have a discussion with Race Bannon and hash things out before he may join any games. As a personal note to Race Bannon, if you have a disagreement with the way someone is hosting a game, I totally understand how that could be frustrating. However, threatening the host with getting yourself modkilled (or banned, or whatever), and PMing people who are alive in the game or sending large incomprehensible messages to everyone is not an appropriate response. This is known. Whether or not BTDT was doing a good job, your actions were inappropriate. You do not have the right to ruin other people's fun. Next time, PM me or Foolishness if you think a host is acting inappropriately; we will be glad to help. This matter is now closed. | ||

I understand TL Mafia is essentially given license to self-moderate by the broader TL forum moderation team (and consequently that we don't use the report button for things like in-game personal attacks). What is the mechanism for seeking corrective action if someone is spamming outside of a specific mafia game? | ||

If I understood BH correctly, he chose to not perm ban Race Bannon because he thinks Race Bannon should be given a second chance. He's borderline close to being permed and he is just not stopping his trolly, spammy posting that does not contribute to anything. | ||

Game ruining is bad. Spamming nonsense is not. As long as it is contained spamming. Just embrace it. Not playing games or hosting due to 1 guy having fun(?) is just weird. I mean... The guy works 30 minutes or longer on some of those posts and most people probably don't even read them. I see it as modern art. | ||
