And obviously holyflare's rule break had nothing to do with the ad hom later. Obviously. How could someone ever think it would.

Not sure if scott feels that way or was just quoting HF.
@HF I can't believe you're actually defending yourself, and not even apologizing for your attitude towards Alakaslam. Like, if you're mad at me because I yelled you into shutting up, I understand. But you were so condescending towards the hosts whose game you were usurping, its unfathomable that you find yourself completely in the right.

Where on earth was I condescending? I still don't understand.
If you can point out how my actions were irredemable/game ruining etc then be my guest it is you and yamato who simply ruined things when you could have continued playing the game and ignored me. All I did was post my flip. Get over your fucking self.
Take it up in the ban list and argue about your hard on for standard procedure there.

Simply put it's a silly concept that a player can be warned and banned and a replacement list can be made for players who are inactive but as soon as a host is and someone decides to preserve the game state and deadline times while a host is afk it's unacceptable and people go crazy and wish for a person to die? Ok igrok.
|
There is a rule that says in bold blue text: "This is a mod font. Please do not use it."
Like you can argue that if you continue posting after death people can just ignore your posts and play the game. But it is as stupid as this.
And yeah i do apologize for whqt i said to you. But the point still stands. I cant fucking understand how people think they are somehow above the hosts and do this shit INTENTIONALLY?!?!
Even if you think you did nothing wrong can you at least see what it caused? And rethink. Even for a little bit?

The game state would have been preserved anyways, because the votes would have ended and you would have flipped eventually. What would have been lost by waiting?
P.S. I never said it was ok for people to wish other people to die.

Ok igrok. Then you should bring their hosting up elsewhere. At least i do that if i think someone's hosting is unacceptable.

OP: Posting after death is actually more strictly prohibited. No goodbyes, only acceptable things are GG, go (alignment) and . Nothing else at all.

Sure it caused the game to dissolve and I'm sorry for that. That is simply not because I posted a flip (which even alakaslam says would have been acceptable). You could simply not handle it and I have no idea why not. You must be fundamentally flawed to be a stickler for the rules so much so that you would think I was ruining the game by doing what a host woild be doing anyway. If you crossed oit my name and it said Alakaslam on my posys there would be no issue.
Your reasons are childish and immature.

Of course it would be okay because he is a host and you are not.

And how has what I posted altered any of your views of the game or given anything other than my alignment away? The rule for posting after death is clearly meant for circumstances which give game altering information away.
You can do or say whatever you want to be honest. In no way did I insult alakaslam or anyone, I simply wanted the game to continue. Alakaslam's post if you actually read it misconstrues every post to have an alterior motive behind it which it does not. My first post was simply a rhetorical I guess they forgot post. The other posts were so alakaslam could simply maintain that the integrity of the game was still intact and was not an attack on his intelligence in the slightest.
Grow up people, learn to not be fucking rule whores and adapt to circumstances. Cya never.

Wait, I hope the way how the votecount tool is strict with vote formatting didn't cause any of this?
Unfortunately I don't think it would be a good idea to make it "too" lenient. Otherwise there could too easily be unintended votes. However, I'm working on a solution to allow nicknames (and slight mistakes in spelling?) at some point.
In any case, I don't think there's a huge need to test the tool right now. Didn't seem like there were any problems during this game (except the duplicate names for Edgar), and it's now mostly working, just nice to see multiple games using it - both for finding unexpected problems and just overall seeing it in action.
Seems sad if many people are quitting TL Mafia... I can understand IRL issues and such, I've also taken long breaks because of that, but I hope it's not something definitely permanent.
(P.S. Are there really no filters anymore on TL...? :/ )

Insulting slam.
Multiple instances of you acting extremely condescending to other players available on-demand, if you really want to keep denying it.

Ok. Well, HF is a really good player (at least from what I remember from the Ippo game) so it's sad if he quits over something like this (I get that his behaviour has been inappropriate here, but still..).

Grow up people, learn to not be fucking rule whores and adapt to circumstances. Cya never. Well for starters these two things.
Yamato's alignment is a crapshoot for now on. I dont know if it is a mafia strategy to call things borderline cheating and get demotivated, or if he is being genuine as town.. what i do know is that he will get demotivated as either alignment and basically wont play the game any more because he thinks it's invalid. And i dont fault him for that.
Scott still thought you are mafia when you posted your flip. He thought you were lying. Well yeah it makes him town.
So yeah. There were two things that definitely affected the game purely based on your actions.

let's have everyone just calm down, this is just a thing we do to have fun alright. No one should quit because people have said mean things.
it's a shame slam missed the deadline but real life is more important, plus he is generously giving up time and effort to host. HF shouldn't have done what he did but he was lynched and that anger probably made him act out, tempers ran high and i'm sure people have said things they now regret.
