I somehow spent most of the game thinking WoS was the host. One time I had to check the player list to see if marv was in the game because I thought he was and I was about to get mad at him for being afk. that should help you read me better in the future when we're arguing and I don't seem to have any clue what's going on | ||

There have been a few times where I start feeling proud of myself after a few successful games, and eventually I'll get completely mindfucked like in WC2 and suddenly I think I know nothing about the game or how to find scum. It always takes a few games to build the momentum back. I do think I am improving but it's just taking a long time and I keep backtracking every time I decide I don't like how I'm approaching the game. | ||

You were left alone in WC2 to figure the entire game out and you actually had the right idea, you just couldn't overcome the odds you were up against. Even Palmar voted wrong in LYLO in Smurf game when he had all the information he needed. I had Personality 2 and a few games over the summer where I had no idea what was going on. Or see how Foolishness talks about his play - openly admitting that his reputation comes from some games where he smashed mafia, but in between there's a bunch of terrible games (probably being modest, but you get the idea). I understand that you're looking for your kinda "big lynch" as town - I remember mine well. It'll come and you should remain positive in the meanwhile. Mafia is hard and you're not going to be good every game. | ||

Then there were two inactive townies and Umasi. Basically it becomes very hard when the only active player in the thread with you is mafia, and those remaining townies have done literally nothing all game to establish their towniness. Because then not only do you have to figure out the mafia, you also somehow have to manage to work out that those two townies are town after all and be confident and ballsy enough about these reads to not want to lynch them over rayn, all the time with the only other influence in the thread being a scumplayer. It's an exceptionally tall order. | ||
