I've had quite similar experiences in all of the sites i have ever played in besides TL. Final game i played on one site the host decided to replace i dude had just nightkilled back into another slot that subbed out. Everyone thought it was fair and square and i was a baddie when i complained about it. In mafiascum i was the worst player ever when i voted for mafia 717 / 720 hours of a month long mafia game (literally, that's actually no kidding!!). I didn't even bother about the post game chat i just left the site immediately after that. In the championship game last year there was a dude who did something really scummy and when i called him mafia he flipped his shit on me and replaced out. Unfortunately that made me waste like three weeks in a game that was unwinnable because dick move analysis says that guy cannot be mafia. Post game i complained about unsoprtmanship behavior and got told the dude had very serious time problems and couldn't continue playing. He still was able to post RIGHT after replacing in obs chat and continued doing so until the end of the game, more than he did in the real game. I didn't bother to argue more because if i have learned something in mafia it is that if stupid people have already decided you are the bad guy there is no evidence that can convince them otherwise and you're just wasting your time. I mean, just playing for fun is one thing and i don't expect anyone or everyone to be as competitive as for example i am, but you shouldn't still try to ruin the game for the people who are actually trying to win the game their hardest, which is kind of the point of ANY game where there is a winning and losing team lol. Or if someone does that, to side with them if they are more likeable or whatever shit than the person who is actually right and trying to play the game properly. That's pretty much why this Saturday it comes one year since i have been in a mafia game, the longest break i have since i started in 2009. I think the break will continue eternally. I really love the game but when almost all the games are bullshit like that, well... i have better things to do than waste my time in that shit. Thankfully though i've got many friends and other good things from my journey in mafia.  P.S. Slam, We'll be in LA in December very most likely. I'll let you know when i know our times so we can cook up something possibly maybe ^^

A community is the sum of its parts, rather than the individual pieces. Sure, you had a bad experience one time in a huge game, but that doesn't tarnish the community as a whole, nor should it. Also, you don't know how Robik behaved on that forum either. We know what he was like here and we banned him, but that doesn't mean he behaved the same way in another corner of the internet or to the same severity that would warrant a perma ban. From everything I've seen from the championship, to the handful of games I've played in there (or been invited to), everyone has been very friendly and welcoming. If you have Discord, I would recommend joining in with the championship spectator channel at some point (maybe next year) and you'll get more of a feel for the community and how they treat each other. I don't think anywhere is without its problems, but by and large most of the people I've experienced there are friendly and play well and the games have all been fun.

They assumed I was a science denier because I knew about this guy with regard to climate change, and knew all the bullshit normies fall for is not the actual solution, and that the government is co-opting climate change into their own nefarious agendas. Finally, the dude made a YouTube short. I consider this short. It is less than 30 minutes. Call me a boomer. I also know of and believe in what he apparently doesn't; that the effect takes off exponentially with scale (not linearly as he seems to think) and can whip the atmosphere into such o2 highs relative to co2 and N that flammability starts to become an issue and mutation goes nuts, and lifespans shorten but health improves, all sorts of crazy shit our world isn't ready to deal with. But this is how you know that the doomsday shit is all bullshit. We would do this shit first and it WILL work, that isn't the question. The question is whether it working is actually better than what we have now or not.

At the same time, I don't want to get permanently banned for daring to say something even moderately conservative in this day and age where my old communist friends now claim to agree with me politically because those on the left have gone so far. But I feel like people here (mafia forum) can actually appreciate debate, and rare perspectives on actually trying to solve real problems. (Note my lack of hard line conservatism in acknowledging global warming/climate change, yet, here I am considered ban-worthily right wing)

Don't worry I have more conservative views than you and have been on this forum for years. I often listen to opposing views. The only person to ever try and ban me was Blazinghand + Show Spoiler +I know it wasn't politically motivated, but this is TL Mafia - got to make a case!
TL has always had political discussions. How can we have a community without politics? How can you have psychological warfare in the game of mafia without the mention of people's ideologies? What is TL Mafia without the comrades? I miss Caller  .
