Eating delicious chicken soup at work. Colleague had his birthday so a maximum of Ferrero Rocher, Twix, Mars, Bounty and Milky Way for all. Weather is getting better and better. nice blue sky. Work is getting done. I can watch youtube for the last couple hours of work. | ||

I recently approached Blazinghand about an idea for an interforum mafia game, and he advised me to post the message I sent him in this thread, so that details etc. could be worked out: I'm a member of the ToS forum, which has a section devoted to forum mafia. Last year a game mode (called GFM, Giant Forum Mafia) was run there in which there were three districts of twenty players each, these each ran their own separate game of mafia (albeit with the days and nights synchronized), until the total number of live players got below thirty, at which point they were merged into a single masterthread, which then played until one side won. An idea that's being bandied about is to get several mafia forums together to do the same thing sometime this year. Basically each one would run a GFM, and when the combined total number of live players got below a certain number, they'd be combined into one game. To see whether this is feasible, I'm inquiring on several forums into whether this would be something they might participate in. So, would this be something that the mafia section of this forum might be interested in taking part in? For reference, here is the masterthread for last year's GFM, and the three district threads are here, here, and here. | ||

Tracker: You visit a person at night. If they use a power (say, if they're a cop or a doctor or a framer) or deliver a KP (like scum would) you told who they visit. Example: Alan the Tracker uses his Track on Benjamin the Doctor. Benjamin the Doctor was healing Charles the Vanilla Townie. Alan gets the result "Benjamin visited Charles" at the end of the night. Watcher: Like tracker, but you see who visited the person instead. Significantly stronger than Tracker. Example: Alan the Watcher uses his Watching on Benjamin the Doctor. Benjamin is shot by David the Mafia. Alan gets the result "David visited Benjamin" at the end of the night. Wanderer: You are like a miller, but for the visiting mechanic. Each night, you unknowingly visit a random person as though you were using a power on them. Watchers or Trackers will be able to observe this if they target appropriately. Veteran: You have 2 hp instead of 1 hp. The first time you are shot, you just lose your extra hp. Next time you are shot, you die. If you are RBed, you count as having 1 hp instead of 2 hp during that night. You are informed if you are shot. Example: John the Veteran is shot by Sam the Scum. Since John has 2 hp, he is instead dropped to 1 hp and gets the notification "you have only 1 hp left". The next night, Sam shoots John again and John dies. Poisoner: You are a Serial Killer, but when you shoot someone, they die the NEXT night. So, if you shoot John N1, Al N2, and Jerry N3, the deaths look like this: N1: nobody dies from you N2: John dies N3: Al dies N4: Jerry dies and so on | ||
