I don't think it's more likely to come from noob town, I'm saying he's neither town nor scum based on his current posting. You're not just gravitating towards the scum option, you're flat out blocking all other avenues by saying Ray's the most probable scum, and thus voting for him.

Town make bad posts, yes, but scum make posts like yours. It's not a singular game of experience that I draw from, it is from vast experience in 20+ mafia games of my own in addition to the wonderful analysis Ver gave of my own opening post as scum in Sicilian that made me rethink how I view starting posts.

Maybe. I'm not sure it's damning, but it's something. Note the first part of the quote before the bolded - "can't really tell the difference". For me the oddest thing, still, is that he said it in the first place, not that he failed to follow up on it (although that seems worth noting)

This is kinda abstract but in Basterd, for example, the biggest tell I caught myself doing was the sincerity of my busses while my cases on other people were outright bad. However because I'm so often wrong this only works if I've been bussing and my teammates flipped already.
Outside of that, I'd say the way my failed promises pan out and their sincerity. I know I won't get lynched over stupid shit when I'm town, but when I'm scum I don't have that same feeling. Am I following through only when I'm close to being lynched? I'm scum in that case. Note this isn't always the case as sometimes I am honestly really busy.
The other one I've noticed about myself it's that I had a habit of reading my QT, establishing a plan then posting immediately after my partner comes back to call them out.
Do those make sense? I'd say those are the major three, but it's kinda hard to put it into words lol

Because I don't think it is a good reason? koshi's clued up enough about the game of mafia to say one player is mafia or neither is mafia or both is mafia (ok that one would look weird). But given DP's deferral to rayn about Koshi earlier, not giving a scumread on two people arguing seems weird to me as a reason.

Not even a few posts in, I see him focusing on his scum reads and actually making sense.
It's also notable that his posting looks less constructed in that game, even when he's talking about policy. It still has some degree of polish, but it's not to the same degree.
Honestly, looking at that game and seeing him so easily talk about who he thinks is scum is only reinforcing my read. Maybe I'm biased by now, but it doesn't change my opinion much.
